I got a 2022 Sentra SR premium after my 2020 Sentra SV got totaled off in a high speed accident. Absolutely love the SR and I can tell you from first hand experience, that the safety features are amazing on the sentras.

Yes, by a smidge, I think I prefer the Sentra, too (though I probably wouldn't get the Midnight Edition of either of these. Am just not into the black rims. I much prefer the regular Premium package on the Sentra SR). Despite having less power than the Altima, for my driving needs (just driving around in the city, mostly), it's more than enough. And I like the interior a bit more as well: those circular vents, etc. Both are great, but if I had to choose, it'd be the Sentra.

Literally just made this choice. I bought the 2023 Sentra Premium Edition. For me, the price was the deciding factor. They wanted $34,000 for the Altima and $25,000 for the Sentra. With the features being basically the same and the low miles that I tend to put on my cars, the Sentra was the best choice for me. 10:21

Just purchased a 2022 Sentra SV a week ago. Tho it does not have the Weatherization package, nor does it have power seats I’m still in love with it. Has everything else shown and she does move down the highway. Definitely has decent room space. Very sharp looking cars.

I watched your review last month, I brought my 3rd car from Nissan, the Stanza in 1983, the Altima in 2007 and now the Sentra SV, pick it up 5/13, need I say more, I love their cars, Sentra is out of sight ❤️ it rides good, plenty of room for my 6ft frame, sound system is nice 🎶

My experience has been that the Altima is more cockpit like in front, and sentra being little roomier inside. And yes more power in Altima. So for room and practicality go Sentra.

I traded in my 2015 Sentra S on Black Friday and bought the 2022 Nissan Sentra SV. I did upgrade the wheels at the dealer from 16’ to the SR 18’ wheels and that’s all it needed. It’s a beautiful car and it’s a night and day difference from my 2015 model. You’ll definitely enjoy it!

Body of the Sentra should have gone to the Altima, but glad it didn’t since the Sentra is the one I can afford and is a dream in every way specially the looks. Turns heads daily! 21 SR white with black roof.

We were looking at either Corolla/Camry or Sentra/Altima. We liked the Nissans better and would hope that the CVT holds together. We did choose the Sentra because we didn't think that the difference was worth $7k.

I'm a former Nissan Versa owner and I driven a new Altima SR from a Las Vegas car rental agency. Altima SR does have some power (driven several rental Altimas, in Los Angeles, it can keep up with a Maserati on the 405 freeway Midnight) . One thing I like about the Altima is the console has a minimalism feel which everything is at hands reach and the trim in the SR is sportier with gauges.

Personally, i like the sentra more than the altima. i would save a few thousand getting the sentra over the altima. The 2022 sentra sr midnight edition would be my pick. Both of these cars share a lot of the same stuff. But i just like the air vents on the sentra haha. Im 18, but i will have a decent job soon. I am looking forward to save up some money so i can get this sentra 😀

Have an old 2013 Sentra SR...love the new one. Think I paid with a rebate $16,000!! Anyway, the only pain is the CVT...had to add a trans cooler and change the fluid ever year..already dropped the trans pan a replaced the filters and cleaned the pan. Got to be real easy on the Driving with the CVT...very delicate

If you here a noticable whining that's a warning ⚠️ and needs a fluid change ASAP. Imagine the new version of the CVT is better. But still gets hot and complex with a metal belt

So somehow I’ll end up buying a Nissan Sentra since they’re one of the “affordable” cars in the market at this moment. I live in Los Angeles , so there’s always traffic here I should be okay with the speed , but somehow the CVT transmission always give me second thoughts . Anyways , thanks for the review !

What is the difference in size of gas tank? Sentra w better gas mileage but if smaller tank..maybe more trips to refill? Anyway, I would want paddle shifters. I have an 09 altima and love using the gear lever manumatic shifting. That is fun, smooth and helps save breaks too vs just cvt and brakes. I guess Ii can use the paddles now. Sentra looks nice but no paddle shifters and weaker. I assume it is lighter so maybe peppy?

I bought the Nissan Sentra a lot better gas mileage and it’s about the same car as the Al I don’t feel any difference in the size and I’m 5 foot eight and I enjoy the car it’s beautiful inside looks like a luxury sport car I would recommend that everybody lean to the Nissan Sentra because you save a lot of more money on your car payments and also your insurance it’s also very Economical Vehicle and I love the way it drives because I drove both the Ultima and the Nissan Sentra so why don’t you go ahead and just go buy a Nissan Sentra and save a lot of money in gas and price and insurance

Neither, lost faith in Nissan when my 2012 Sentra cvt died in the middle of the highway with my kid's inside. Just over 100k miles and fully serviced and taken care of. Full out junk. Nissan wanted 7 grand to replace the cvt... Their trucks and sports cars are decent but I would not touch a Nissan CVT vehicle.
