It's all up to the Japanese. Air cooled Porches have been going back to Germany from the US so, it could happen. Japan is such a harsh climate for cars so going abroad is probably a good thing for preservation sake.

It’s time and headaches really. An m spec nur in Australia is for sale for around 390k usd. Garage defend website sells an m spec nur for 270k. We have luxury vehicle tax (33%), plus roro shipping 2-3k, compliance 3k, tyres 1k, then stamp duty to register, in South Australia thats a percentage of the price of the vehicle, so the govt calculator says 14.5k plus registration. So you’re looking at about 381k. And this is the minimum you pay. Better off buying one in Australia IMO unless you like the process of importing.
