Is Automatic transmission in your vehicle not having any issues like those for CVT where there is transmission overheating, going to limp mode and making whining noise, difficult in climbing hills especially when travelling long journeys??

I have a traditional 6 speed auto in mine. There are no problems at all with overheating or noises etc. No leaks no cluncks she goes great. I mean remeber its an AWD not a engineered 4x4 so you need to drive it to the conditions and most obstacles I let the car tell me what it will be able to do.. Thats why chicken tracks were invented.

When crossing the river, is the alternator not getting water? What other modifications for river crossing????

It may have looked deep but Im realistice about what my Xtrail is going to achieve. He has a snorkle more the the dusty tracks following convoy and if we get to a water crossing it will find the chicken track not becuase its a chicken but becuase I drive him to work the next day and no need to break stuff

@@poordirk2710 During Rain is the snorkel not entering water that flows to the air filter??? Because unlike for other cars like Land cruiser it has the hole in the air filter box that drain out the water getting through snorkel head. How is it for your Xtrail ??

During heavy rain, is your snorkel not getting water inside that passes through snorkel head and then flows to the air filter box ???

Not at all and at the airbox there is also a water catch point

I have never seen a snorkel for Xtrail T31 how did you get it???? Am very interested as i want to put on my T31 as well.

This one about 3 yrs now. I have done Anne Beadell Hwy, Callcup hill dunes, Finke river bed, Great Central Hwy, alot of random bush stuff. Heading to John Holland Track next week.

This is the "6" Speed auto not the CVT.. I say 6 speed because in Australia they are only 5 speed and you have to manual to 6th after 90kph. Nissan changed the 6th due to erg and dpf issues.

Is the snorkel head tight enough and not easily blown off by wind on driving high speed?

She will do 8.2 full loaded crusing. Just came back from the Connie Sue Track trip i drove 11 hrs why at 110 kms /hr and got 8.2 all the way. Around town its 9.5 .. Not much of a saving in diesel for this im affraid! Dont belive the nissan claims of 6.6 combined lol
