once a disciple in an asram in Kerala complained to guru about how noisy film songs from neighborhood disturb his meditation. Guru told him while I was doing sadhana, such songs reminded her of god Krishna and Radha divine love and imagined the hero of the song as Krishna and heroine as Radha. then couldn't help but dance with the song in spiritual ecstacy. Thus even mundane daily things can be used for spiritual progress. The name of that guru was Mata Amritanandamayi

Mele nu chaliye.... Is a sufi song it has a deep meaning.... It contains some spiritual concepts......and spirituality is all about Shiva....!! If you actually know Shiva , you will realize this! And nit khair manga and every other sufi song....can appear romantic but is actually spiritual.....where your loved one is either your guru or the lord!!

I agree with Neha Jinjer. As I've recently been delving into the territory of Sufi songs , I've found that many such seemingly "filmi" songs or "meaninglessly written" songs are in fact nothing but divine . The songs - Dama-dam mast Qalandar , Halka-halka suroor hai and many more which I currently can't recall - are all divine. They've been written by people deeply involved with the Lord or their Guru , albeit walking a "different path" .
