@@vivekpatil7039 placements for NITR are really good. The order which I mentioned is based on cut offs and competition environment. But whichever college you get, they are all the same in terms of output. You'll get equal opportunities to sit for placement and that's the ultimate goal right. So don't worry about the order whether NIT A or NIT R or IIIT A it's just a matter of preferences, same companies visit everywhere.

How is mtech in software engineering, do they seat in placement among cse student?

Those three specialisation is only known to college people, companies consider it CSE dept. as a whole during placement. Tech giants like google, microsoft, samsung, oracle etc have hired from mtech cs/is/se students. Do not worry, equal opportunities will be given, just the course will be different for cs/is/se. Average for my batch was 15lpa and highest 45lpa (microsoft) for mtech cs/is/se.

CSE/IS/SE all three are considered under CSE dept. (equal) during placement drive. Only course work is different. Avg package is 15LPA , mtech cse, for this current batch.

Afaik, almost same preference. I can only tell about Mtech placements, no idea about UG though. My friends and many others from mtech cse/is/se got hired in tech giants ( Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Oracle, Samsung etc.)

Hmmm right, even though many of us don't have any issues, it could be related to psychological comfort. Some people might feel more comfortable and less self conscious when they are around others of same gender (just a thought)
