Hi Victoria! I am 12 and I have had 1 hamster before and gave him a terrible tiny tales cage! I didn’t give him enough bedding he had a REALLY small wheel! Now, I wanted to research about hamsters and I found you! You taught me how to actually take care of my hamster, Whiskers! I now have him an 80 gallon fish tank with 13 inches of bedding! He has a huge wheel and has lots of accessories such as a: sand bath, hiding places, water bowls, chew toys, etc. Without your help whiskers would be living his worst life! And to all of those who want a hamster, do your research first before getting one. Edit: Whiskers has passed away and I am very happy that he lived 1.5 years !may he rest in heaven little one.

I'm not Victoria but I'm so happy that u actually made a change, there's too many people who don't listen to advice and some that don't even do research. Keep up the good work, Whiskers is probably very happy now!💚💚

That's awesome! That was the same with my first hamsters. I did my research with all of them but that was 3-4 years ago and there wasn't as much of the correct info so I ended up with a tiny cage, wheel, and tiny bit of bedding. No enrichment either. Now I've been able to change but I wish I'd done more proper research first so I could've started off right.

Hi Victoria! Thank you for an honest review! ❤ Good on Niteangel for wanting honest reviews and not being afraid to get them publicly. It's not something most brands would do. Love the idea of these! The pessimist in me however thinks they knew what they were doing with the size because it means you'd have to buy 2 (if you're aware of size requirements) meaning an already expensive enclosure nets them more money. As I live in the UK it's extremely hard and expensive already to buy these items. Great ideas and products but they're excluding most of the hamster owner market in terms of pricing. Some acrylic and connections should not be this expensive.

I bought the attachable gears for this cage around 2 months ago and they’re still in my storeroom 😅 thanks Victoria for motivating me to take them out and start assembling them! No, they’re not the first aquarium type hamster cage that is attachable, Tafit has the oblique door type expandable glass cage like 1-2 years earlier but they’re not available in other countries and I don’t usually see anyone using them, so…

I have one of these and I'm so happy they are adding the expansion pieces for horizonal use!! i hope all of these are more sturdy than what i see on my end of the screen bc i genuinely do not see where the price point comes from... dont get me wrong, it would be AWESOME if they could become a genuine competition to the terrible cages we see in stores usually, but for that price... MOST kids parents/casual owners/people who "just want a hamster" wouldnt consider this as an option for them simply bc of the price.. i see this more being marketed to the hamster owners who already know what they are doing, and we allready have bigger and less pricy options out there... i really appreciate your honest review!

I have gerbils atm and they would LOVE having two of those connected together to make one gigunda floor space. I would love having glass! I am currently using the largest Nite Angel Vista and their original box-like top-opening enclosures and they are amazing. As long as they hold up I'll stick with them but once it comes time to replace one, I'm definitely going to keep these new ones in mind. I love that they have wheels on them too! Thanks for this very thorough review. I saw another review but was unimpressed because I didn't know you could connect them into one larger enclosure. Now I'm liking them a lot!

Wow, this is amazing!! Worth the price? Well, if I were living in the US, yeah I would go for it. I live in Canada too, and spending $600 on a hamster enclosure.... I dunno.... I love my hammies, I do, BUT. A year's worth of hamster vet care vs an enclosure?? Gosh that's a hard decision to make. As an adult, I can make that decision but a kid wouldn't be able to. I think these would be perfect for a small animal rescue and definitely worth the price. I'm certain they are worth the money, but that's not the kind of money I have

I foster hamsters for a rescue, and one of them has cage rage after being kept around other hamsters and small cages. Even when she went to her first foster home with a huge enclosure, she still was stressed because there were other foster hamsters in the room. She then came to me and her behaviour got so much better because shes the only hamster! So in this case, stackable cages wouldnt be suitable because my foster would be stressed
@simonthehamster7938 Жыл бұрын
It's great that she got better being at your home! I want to foster one day but I don't think I could let the hamsters go! As someone who has 7 gerbils (that are a lil bit less picky about cage size) and wants to go up to 10 gerbils, these look amazing. 4 of these can house 10 happy gerbils without taking too much space at home. I would rather use a slightly bigger cage (Rn I use 1 meter x 50 centimeters x 50 centimeters for 3 gerbils, i also have a colony of 4 males in a 1,6 meters x 60 centimeters terrarium, but I wouldn't matter having smaller colonies If it will occupy less space). Sadly here in brazil it is really hard to get niteangel products, it is too expensive to import, but I may make a lil bigger ones at home so i can house all the animals I want in a confy way.

I love to see a review with a hamster in it. No pressure for getting another hamster though. I'd like to see them connected front to back, just to see. Maybe on Instagram (hint hint 😉😆) They are expensive but they seem like the best option of outside of a homemade cage, Ive seen lately. If I had a hamster I'd to have 2 or 3 of these cages connected. I did google search them and there are similar cages popping up on online sites, hopefully one day soon we'll see them in petstores. And bigger and better cages be more of the norm 🤞

Hi Victoria I recently had gotten a new hamster about a month ago. He was living in a 400 square inch cage until 2 days ago i upgraded it to an 800 square inch cage. In his old cage he would non-stop run on the wheel and seemed happier. In the new cage he just sits next to his wheel. Me and my mom thought he was dead because we couldnt see his face and he wasnt moving so we picked him up and noticed he was breathing and his eyes were open. After a few minutes of handling him he went back to normal so we put him back in his cage but he started acting weird again. Should I take him to the vet? He’s a new hamster so is he just adjusting to the new cage? In the old enclosure he had a sand bath but in the new enclosure I added sprays and a coco fibre digging box. Please tell me if he’s okay, I love him so much.❤
@nzpaws Жыл бұрын
I’m not Victoria but taking him to a vet is a good idea if you’re concerned. Running excessively on their wheel is actually a sign of stress, as it indicates they’ve got a lot of energy that they’re not able to get out due to the size of the cage. Having said that, if he’s become so lifeless that you had to check if he was dead or not then it’s an indicator that his health may not be great. It could also be related to stress, particularly if the cage is very bare/has lots of open space but it’s best to rule out health issues just to be safe. Also, he needs a sand bath 24/7 regardless of the cage size. That wouldn’t be the cause of his usual behaviour but it’s worth mentioning so you know! :)
@samanthaheizer-metcalf97036 ай бұрын
I like how it has a front opening panel, stackable, wheel option, and expandable. It is also significantly better than what is sold in pet stores, but it is a real big deterrent when these items aren’t being sold in pet stores. However, a major turnaway in my opinion is that it does not come with any accessories and with that price point it is absurdly steep. I would have also liked to see a lot more ventilation and a partial wired section for the walls. Having wire makes it more versatile to attach accessories. Having more options for customization would push this kit even further. If they have for an example, a lot more accessory options like a top wire add-on at different heights this could allow somebody to use platforms with ramps and/or tunnel tubes in the enclosure to make it even bigger and add more enrichment.

WAIT... while this may not be the best size for actual hamster owners, as someone who fosters multiple hamsters (each stay around 1-4 weeks with me before being rehomed to great homes) at a time (anywhere between 1 and 5 fosters at a given time)... this setup is fabulous! The size is not too big, not too small... price does hurt a little but it's an investment!!
