I'am more of a fan of consistent light, I don't like to have the center spot so much brighter than the rest around. I understand that is made to reach longer distances, but not so pleasant when you have something relatively close would love to have an option to just activate flood LEDs

Its' not really meant for camping and playing cards at the picnic table. It is meant to blind and incapacitate thugs, criminals, murderers, grizzly bears, cougars, wolves and democrats. Temporarily :P
