Good review. I bought this unit and like it. I use regular batteries mostly because they can replaced on the go if necessary. I have also found the battery life to be very good.
@GearLama Жыл бұрын
Thanks for sharing. Yes the battery life is outstanding and you can always use AAA eneloop batteries to make things even morr eco friendly

Just to confirm, these can be used with rechargeable batteries? Rechargeable batteries have a different voltage?
@GearLama3 жыл бұрын
Yes Sandeep rechargeable batteries have less voltage than normal batteries. However these are led lights. Leds are far more cpabale of lighting across multiple voltage range. I've always used and am using these lights with panasonic eneloop white AAA batteries and have not experienced any less a runtime. When it comes to rechargeable batteries I always trust eneloop whether it's for lights, camera flash , bt keyboards, mouse or rc cars

Would've helped if you could've also shown how it looks on the seat post. My concern being, does it compensate for angle of the seatpost? Thank you for the otherwise great video tho
@GearLama3 жыл бұрын
No it's a flat mount so if your seatpost is at an fore aft angle it will not compensate for that. I think this is not a light that's built for aero bikes. It is more geared towards commuter and touring

Why can't they make it USB rechargeable??
@GearLama Жыл бұрын
Because that would beat the very purpose of the light. The idea to have replaceable battery is to make it agnostic to battery deterioration. You can always use rechargeable eneloop AAA
@anirudhmoudgal3 жыл бұрын
Agree with you on the AAA vs USB 1. What is your opinion of the cherrybomb as a daytime light? (Disruptive flashing pattern in order to be seen) 2. Personal question - you watch in the first half the video ... as Seiko? (You don't have to answer it :-))
@GearLama3 жыл бұрын
1. As you can see in my bikepacking video I use this light only as a DRL (daytime running light) as I seldom cycle after dark here in the Himalaya. The first pattern is disruptive and Its extremely visible, even at 100m on the brightest day. 2. Tissot. I don't mind answering. Though I have a Seiko 5 too for everyday wear 😀
