It was a alternator voltage issue, too much heat from the long tube headers. Problem solved with a Nations alternator with a external voltage regulator.

I keep saying it in every video. Machine lip/chrome edge wheels are the best. This is another good example. I hate red more than any other color, but I like his wheels. Machine lip look good on every car. All black wheels are hideous. I plan to Cosmis xt-005r or xt-006r machine lipped wheels on my car someday.

Good eye. It's more than likely an alternator issue. If it is, I hope the owner gets that taken care of quick cause that could kill a motor due to it killing power to the fuel pumps then causing the motor to lean out and boom. Good idea to get a gauge that monitors the voltage/amp to know when it dips too low.

Not even 700whp from a gen5 Whipple....He must be on pump gas, low boost, and conservative tune. There are guys making over 700whp on VMP 2.3 blowers - hell, one guy made 850whp on a ported VMP 2.3 blower. Another KZbinr made 680whp on pump gas on a VMP 2.6. Tell the guy to up the boost, go E85, and he'll easily be at over +800 hp to the wheels.

Yea with e85 you can't run tons of boost on pump gas. A pump gas 2.3 will do 600 or so to the wheels. E85 makes a huge difference on power but not everyone has access to it or wants to run it.

2.3 tvs cobras doing over 700 are running like 22 psi with full supporting mods and e85. And if someone was doing 850 it was likely on a built high compression engine with cams on e85. You gotta compare apples to apples you can't compare e85 2.3 numbers to pump gas 3.0 numbers. Car isn't gonna just make the power because a 3 liter is on there it has to be running the right fuel and be spinning it good to hit numbers like you're talking about. Clearly he's running pump gas friendly boost levels.

@@midnight347 Which is why I said he's probably on low boost and conservative tune. And the 850 2.3 was for the most part stock motor stock compression but on GT40 cams. He was running higher boost, I think 26 or 27 lbs. But my point was, if you're going to be running a bigger blower, why run small blower numbers? And this guys sounds like he has full supporting mods too, he even has a 2,500hp fuel system. Based on some reading in the comments, he may have also been on a low reading dyno. Otherwise, he just needs to change a few things and he'll be where he needs to power wise
