Many users of this product report that the charcoal sticks do not easily fit into the provided stylus.

Yes, charcoal is a bit irregular and care must be taken. The sticks can be delicate to put into the holder.

is it possible to know how soft are de "mignonettes" (4 mm, baton refills) in comparison to the soft "batons" (yellow box)?

I do not use my baton because it makes annoying screetching sounds when drawing :-(

This item is made of poor quality plastic. The plastic on mine became deformed after a small amount of use and would no longer hold the charcoal. Would not recommend.
