Loving chemistry ans : it is preparated by NH3 + F2 direct contact because nf3 is a stable compound and it is non explosive because f- is stable and secondly f size is small and fits in nf3

Dear Sir Please accept my gratitude. You are so energetic. Aapko sun k mera din ban jata h....I can't explain how positivity hunger to learn chemistry I gain after listening you. Dear sir this world really needs you. Keep spreading the fumes of chemistry by which everyone falling in love with chemistry. First of all it will react only in some favorable condition. And if it reacts there is no complete reduction of ammonia will happens. It will produce NF3 along with amoniafloride nh4f. Since the size of F is smaller than Cl Br I it forms more stable product of NF3 and NF3 will not explosive in nature until we supply external energy(like heating or hammering )🙏🙏

For the first time, NF3 was produced by O.Ruff et al. in 1928 by electrolysis of melt anhydrous NH4* HF at 125 oC, voltage of 7-9 V, current of 10 A in a copper electrolytic cell on a carbon anode (5). This method was assumed as a basis for modern technologies to produce NF3, the second industrial method is direct fluorination of ammonia. when we react N2 (g) + 3 F2 (g) → 2 NF3 (g) and it is not explosive because NF3 is stable as the sizes of fluorine and nitrogen are comparable and the bonding interaction is good enough to give a stable compound

1.Nf³ is prepared by ammonium fluoride and hydrogen fluoride or by direct contact of ammonia and fluorine 2.Nf³ is not explosive(as fluorine is having highest EN so oxidation of N is +3) And halogen in +1 oxidation 8 is good oxidizing agent and the size of the 3 CL is quite big on 1 Nitrogen atom

direct combination of NH3 and F2 would give us N2 as major product along with HF and some NH4F. the products are independent of concentrations of the reactants. however, NH3+F2 in presence of Cu catalyst gives us NF3 and NH4F
@ashukhediaeck

Sir one humble question we know hydrogen when reacts with fluorine it reacts explosively to give HF whereas hydrogen does not react easily with iodine to form HI..So my question is how can ammonia react explosively with iodine while least explosively with fluorine??? Thanx sir for the excellent video...
@thejkarttech1660
@thejkarttech1660 4 жыл бұрын
because iodine have high electron affinity as compare to florine so energy release after elecron gain from ammonia and reaction is explosive

Sir I guess ( without reading textbooks ) , it would be easier to make NF3 , and it might be less dangerous as compared with other nitrogen tri halides due to stronger bonds of NF3. Thanks for making me read things again. (Saboot of my reading : NCl3 was prepared in 1811 by P.L DULONG ( Who lost three fingers and an eye studying its properties ))( source greenwood )

🙂🙂 Answer 🙂🙂:-NF3 + F2 →NF3, & Nf3 is not explosive bcoz Nf3 is stable as F is much more electronegative then H and Bond energy of F-F also very low , hence the bond pair of electons are attracted away from Nitrogen.🥰😍🤩. 👍👍By a resonite of kota batch....🙃🙃🙂🤗
@lakshyasatpal561
@lakshyasatpal561 4 жыл бұрын
NF3 is not an an explosive as it is stable due to high difference in Electronegativity( as compared to other nitrogen halides) b/w N and F. Thus the N----F bond is stable.
