Question: on your video when switching from Carlinkit back to Carplay, you lose the Wi-Fi connection, said you are going to do a short video how to fix. Did you do one? I can't find and having to set-up wifi everytime I start / stop truck or switch from Carlinkit / Carplay is frustrating. Thanks! Great videos!!

Have the same truck 2024, just got the Tbox. I haven’t been able to get it to full screen to hide the standard Toyota sidebar on the left hand side. Any suggestions?

I bought 2 of these boxes the original and the ambient one, but I have a 24 trd pro, I never get a full screen...It always has the the car play and other buttons that stay on the left side...

Do you mean the thin line to the left with the 4 most recently used apps (when in the Android setup)? Unfortunately that never goes away, but it’s very thin. I honestly never even notice it.

I figured it out. You have to connect your phone to actual Apple CarPlay. When it loads up the CarPlay side bar will have a little arrow at the top to minimize the Toyota side bar. Hit that. Then log back into your Carlinkit and it should stay minimized Also you CAN get rid of the Carlinkit sidebar too if you want. Go to settings. Factory reset. Type in 4545 as the code. Then select other at the top and turn off the side bar

I got the TBox Plus via your code a few months back - it has proved to be way more useful than I thought it would be. I deleted my phone from my Tundra’s native CarPlay and just BT it in to the CarLinkIt. Have you found this one processes faster/has better input speeds? I just have no idea how these processors stack against each other. I rarely run into issues with mine, but every so often a KZbin video will chug and I have to make it a lot smaller to keep running right. Again, it’s happened like twice in 2 months, but I’d consider upgrading especially with this summer deal if I knew how much different the processors/GPUs are. They have them listed, but there’s not a ton of information last to their performance out there.

Yes sir, I also deleted my phone from the truck, I only use these boxes now, I love em! As far as processors, they’re honestly very similar. If you want the added HDMI function, I would say upgrade for sure, the prices are the best I’ve seen right now with the sale and discount code both. If the HDMI function doesn’t sound like something you would use, I would say stick with the Ambient. They’re both great! Hope that helps!

Do you know if 2 phones can be conneced at the same time? Ex. My work phone and personal so I dont have to unplug it to answer calls Also, will it run on vertical screens like the RAM 1500?

Anybody know why when I disconnect all the apps rearrange back to default?(down loaded apps are still there though). Also if I switch to my phones CarPlay through carlink it disconnects hotspot. Any thoughts?

Yepper, just save em to the drives and you’re good to go! I’ve never done it with a USB, but it works great with a micro SD, hope that helps!

Why the uhd over the ambient? Or vice versa. And does the uhd allow me to plug a fire stick and then use that via the hdmi? If I have an hdmi for my screen Could I plug the uhd via the hdmi to connect that way instead of the usb?

Those 2 modules are extremely similar as far as processor/performance, the main difference is the HDMI port. I’m honestly not sure about the FireStick, so I don’t want to give you any wrong info, maybe someone can chime in for ya! Great video but I’ll never buy another product from them again. My box didn’t work so I shipped it back to them in China. I covered the shipping cost and then they claimed they never received it and stopped responding to my emails.
