Nitrux OS 2.5.0 OS Review : A unique take on the Linux desktop

This time I'm taking a look at Nitrux OS 2.5.0 it's a unique Linux distro that doesn't use systemd, and has its own apps and own desktop, but is it stable?

Nitrux looks very impressive. I can see the potential of this distribution for hardware companies. This would be a great Tablet OS and also a 2-in-1 Mobile device... Maybe even a phone...

Does it HAVE to be App images-- or will FLATPAKS work too?? And do THEY have to be installed "isolated" in box- through terminal?

I had a terrible experience with Nitrux (before this update). For some reason, they included their own half baked file manager (and other basic, not 100% functioning apps). It drove me crazy. You have to click a few times for something you would get in 2 clicks max. You cannot get the properties of a folder. It gives you the properties of the folder name (which is actually a small, a few KB, file. It does it for every file, folder or drive you try to get the properties for. Cr@ppy OS, I hope the people in charge can forgive me. I had many other problems with it. i'm an experienced Linux user. I can handle a system that is 90% ready but this was 40% ready at best and completely in the wrong direction as far as I'm concerned. I test a few distros every week. I've been doing it for years. It's a hobby. This, unfortunately, doesn't compare. Yes, a new DE is always nice but this isn't ready yet.

If Slimbook adopts this as their official Linux Distro, that will make them more competitive with System76 and also Tuxedo Computers, since both those hardware companies have their own distro.

There are thousand of Linux distros out there, but they are not actually a distro, just modified color schemes, themes and different desktop backgrounds, in other words all these so called distros are a big BS. Real distros are actually just a few, like more or less 10. Who is creating all these main distros?, well big tech companies, and they are shaping the distros to their actual needs, for their servers/services. Nobody is investing in the Linux desktop because Linux is for servers!!!!

I will be very interested in this--- and about how to INSTALL software. I saw something about had to install it in a BOX or some such and with terminal--- but I don't know termial much.. except for very basic stuff. If what I need isn't in the software store they have- i'm pretty screwed.. App images I've used- and downloaded them onto other programs just fine-- but this says that won't work-- they have to be in a box or someting???
