I just started playing again after 12 years and every time I try to find anything about learning the format or sideboarding everything I've seen assumes i know the decks. I don't! I basically stopped playing at the cut off for pioneer so all of this stuff is new to me. You've given me exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!

Mtgdecks has Niv at tier 1. The main innovations seem to be emrakul the promised end in the main and pillage the bog

Ive seen a few decks at RCQ’s with those changes. I hate playing against the deck but i can see it being tier 1 deck for the fact that it has a pretty good vamps MU (in my opinion) along with just being a deck that can get to the mid game and take over with haymakers every turn

Probably end up cutting one of the creatures in the deck. I could see going down a wandering mind or a klothys. But id probably make that change depending on the meta. I’m guessing she got cut overall for the fact that maybe you dont need all the “value” she generates+plus shutting down most of amalias ways of comboing

@@crawdaddy2312 cut because she went from a good stax piece vs top decks (green, Amalia, discover combo, raksac, Fires, white Humans, gruul etc. at various times) to just buffing your own stuff. Current top dogs are Phoenix (ignores it), vamps (kills it), UW (ignores it and/or kills it), and red aggro (it's a 5-drop). There's basically no deck where it's the best BTL target right now (kinda just Amalia). With Beanstalk, Binding, and now (since MKM) Extinction Event, Sunfall, Deadly Cover-Up, Analyze the Pollen, and Fable coming in and out a bunch, the deck is also looking at more 5s and more non-hits than ever before. A monocolour 5-drop has a high bar to clear, and Norn doesn't get there right now. It can easily come back in if decks it hurts get more common again, though. You do get your own value off it, so it doesn't need to totally shut decks down to be good - but it needs to do more than just Panharmonicon you.
