Dude rolexes are fabolous watches or they would not have been on the wrists of everything from military men to astronauts despite those same men often having been issued other watches. In the last 70 years Rolex, Seiko, cartier and Casio wiped the floor with all other brands. Why? They made the best watches. Today we wear watches as an apprectiation to the ones who carried us when we needed them. Hence why history is so important in horology and why you should never disrespect a brand like Rolex.

@bertholdbach4959 yes but ppl should get rolex, then get other brands. Some may even sell their rolex watches. Say you buy a sub and a seamaster. If you like the seamaster more, you can choose to keep only that. What I'm saying is just like beginners should start with a seiko your first expensive piece should be a rolex. Talking down all over the place on rolex just has ppl buy 2,3,4,5,etc mid watches and lose a lot of money and be unsatisfied

There is no real reason on why people should start with a Rolex, except brand recognition, and a normal person wont even have the chance to get one. The hype and those waitlists kill this brand for a lot of people. There are people that are happy with more affordable/cheap watches. Not all has to do with luxury. But if you talk about those that want a Rolex, cant get one and try to buy something else and then get unsatisfied. Yeah, I agree. Get the thing you want from the start. Be it Rolex or whatever else.

@@bertholdbach4959 no. Get the rolex if you don't like it then buy other shit you'll have lost 0 dollars. What you "like" in the moment may be investing in idk a dodgecoin deluxe crypto scam. What you should start with is stable Stocks in say tesla. If you do the whole buy you like then What would be the argument against buying fakes? Oh that's right none. So it's good to start with seeking ones first seiko, then maybe a casio and g shock then going for a real rolex. You absolutley can get them you just buy used. Nothing wrong with a explorer 1, 2, 16600 SD, DJ36 or 5 didgit sub. Give or take 8k and they'll always be worth that or more so if then don't like then fine but most ppl don't sell their rolexes to but a bunch of lesser watches.
