Some additional points: 1. NIYO Debit and Credit Card can be used to get FREE international lounge access at Indian airports. 2. As per reviews, International transactions are banned only for Niyo SBM debit cards. Niyo DCB and Equitas can be used in both - ATM & during online transactions internationally. 3. ATM withdrawal charges for NIYO card(s) are mentioned in first question of FAQ section on this page: goniyo.com/ 4. BMF is taking some Rs.150-250 as service charges for issuing a Prepaid Card. 5. For getting currency notes from BMF card, you will be charged Rs.150/- as service charges + 18% GST of 1% of FOREX value. For example, if you want to get 400 euros cash @ 91rs exchange, then around 36600rs is the total forex value. Extra charges that we pay are 18% of 1% of Rs.36,600/- = Rs.65 + Rs.150/-. 6. Cash withdrawal charges from BMF card varies from country to country. Here is the link for that reference: www.bookmyforex.com/ybl-schedule-of-charges/

The second scenario which you mentioned, in that case...I had to pay a markup fees was because I had EUR in my BMF card, and I selected TURKEY currency in POS machine. I have a question, I am visiting Malaysia and Bali next month, both different countries. Which currency should I load in my forex card, Should I load USD or Malaysian currency Ringgit or IDR for Indonesia, I am really confused, please guide?
@finvestomate8 ай бұрын
If you are using BMF, then load both currencies. Would be better. However, in this case, I prefer to opt NIYO as well. Just put 5k limit or 10k limit with FD, and use the currency converter as per the country you are going.

Loading money means we deposit our money in INR in bmf card, and that gets converted into other local currency, whatever we want!

I have a questions about Niyo Global Credit by SBM 1. Niyo global credit card se payment krni ho dubai mein shop owner ko 1Lac+ ki toh kya Swipe machine se kr skte hai payment? (If FD amount 5000 Rs on Credit card). Baki ke prepay krke credit card ko means load money from savings account of 1lac rupees.. Aise ho jayegi payment?? 2. Toh kya mujhe TCS lge ga??
@finvestomate Жыл бұрын
1. No, this is not possible because your CC limit is Rs.5,000/-. Loading money is not an option in NIYO. It is a credit card, whatever you pay, the bill will be generated of same amount. But the maximum that you will be able to spend thru' NIYO in one transactions is Rs.5000/-. Better load Rs.1lac in Dirham in BMF card and do this transaction. 2. TCS is when you are sending money from India to foreign land. I have made a separate video regarding the updated TCS rules. Here is the link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/o3fbiKylitCBm8ksi=weEQgFfcp7Kk7JhK If you are doing payment from India, then TCS rules are applicable. If you are spending on Dubai land, then no.
@maheepsingh6350 Жыл бұрын
@@finvestomate 1. Before generate the bill, we will pay in advance amount 1lac rupees to credit card, then amount will shows in negative. So that amount we will use by swipe machine, tap & pay. For example - FD amount 5000 Rs nd we pay in advance 1lac Rs, so my new limit will be 1,05,000, but my withdrawal limit = FD amount 2. If i book tourist attractions tickets in india through online payment before going to foreign then TCS will applicable? nd how much TCS will apply?
@finvestomate Жыл бұрын
1. Yes, in this case, you have to swipe 5000*20 times to pay that 1 lac bill, if shopkeeper is willing for it. 2. Yes, then 20% are the TCS charges. Please see the video for which link is shared in above comment. That carries all the updated details.

I see conflicting reports all over the internet that you cannot take out Currency notes from ATM That you have to make another FD in order to take out money I am gonna travel to thailand in few weeks Being a Physical currency heavy country i need to have a card which is suitable for that purpose Please let me know Thanks !

Thank you for your feedback. I am not sure whether NIYO can be used for ATM transactions, however, got this link. Kindly see if that helps. community.goniyo.com/t/atm-withdraw-charges/13454 As per my knowledge, you can definitely go for BMF, as that can be used for ATM transactions. However, they also charge a bit extra. Link for that is in pinned comments!

Hi.. is bookmyforex card good for travel to US? I have seen in many travel videos/vlogs here on youtube, people are using their Credit Cards only and no one’s using or specifying anything about Forex/Travel Card. Maybe because of their failure rate/failed transactions! Request you to throw some light on this.
@finvestomate7 ай бұрын
If you are travelling for limited duration, say a week or so, then it would be a good option. But if the duration is longer, I suggest carry a good Credit or Forex card.
