Highlight reel goals count the exact same as shooting pucks on net and get deflected stop with all the passing for perfection and get guys in vision of goalies and get pucks on goal

Swinging for fences ask what it would take to get a jordan kyrou. Can you imagine getting a player like that in here. I get it. But add a guy like this and the message it sends is thats enough. Logisitcs are very hard but thi k of what it would do...at least in my view

I was reading the post game interviews at 4:30 am this morning and I think Bratts comment might give a clue into the problems this team is having. I really hope not, but it’s certainly possibly…and I apologize if someone already commented on this but here is what he said…”Even if you’re on the power play, it doesn’t mean you have to start being cute with the puck,” Bratt said. I’m no detective but I know two players who are often cute with the puck and they happen to have the same last name. We all know from watching other teams being eaten from the inside out that star players with egos can disrupt everything…and coaches who are taking directives from upper management/ owners are powerless to change things….hope I’m wrong

@craigparise8619 I missed that from Bratt. I don't think it was a direct shot at them, but it could have been. Many times on powerplays they seem to pass around too much looking for a miraculous play instead of just trying to get pucks on net. I hope there isn't a bigger issue here. LET'S GO DEVILS!!!

There are 4th line centers available since we lost McCloud last year. Our Gm never replaced the loss of a 55% +faceoff center. Still hasn't! Nico having to take as many faceoffs as he has had to, was playing with fire. Nico isn't exactly a mountain of a man. We have zero depth in minors. Another huge problem that has been ignored.....regarding seamus casy, i said this last year and ill say it again. He is light years better than Luke. He has been living off the name on the back of his jersey. Don't know what people are watching, but reality is setting in. He is a pond hockey player. Real man hockey is played in the NHL.

@walterramirez4443 We need at least a couple pieces. The McLeod loss was devastating. He did so many things well, including faceoffs obviously. Our forward depth is pretty thin right now for sure. I do not think Casey is at Luke's level yet. Hopefully down the line he will be. I love Casey though and he looked amazing in his time with NJ earlier int he season. Luke is only 21. He will get better in time. LET'S GO DEVILS!!!

Health is not an issue bro! The hurricanes could literally plug in any goalie and still get similar results. A good team becomes great because their goalie, but a good team doesn’t become bad when their starter is out. Missing 1 guy in Nico Hischier should not make this team fall apart.

By the way, the people who bitch about the same people after every game, the problem with those players is they are out of position and our front office has done NOTHING to change it. Meir needs to move to his natural side and play with a real center that can get him the puck. Mercer should be a center. Bratt is a winger who is an exceptional puck distributor and needs to be playing with finishers. I could go on......

Do you think a guy like Ivan provorov might be an option??. Fitz needs do something now we can't keep settling for losing. Also would love a Brock Nelson or Ryan o reilly... but why can a carolina Makena move like they did and we sit back and watch it all happen

Team is ass and Fitz is just sitting on his hands. He'll wait until trade deadline, make a move for a 4th liner and then in the offseason he'll come up with another fancy term. And again, the team isn't gonna win any cups with Hughes, soft players still making the same stupid mistakes since his rookie year and isn't learning to play the right way. Doesn't help that coaches don't hold him accountable either

We are not making the playoffs. Truly, not being a doomer Ace but when you watch these other teams in the East competing, we don’t even come close. Mid December Devils would have had a chance but this team is just not the same and Fitzy is still MIA.

We’re deep enough into the season for me to say it: this team is overrated. They lack grit. They lack desire. And most importantly, they lack skill. Oh, and the GM stinks.
