NJ officials say NYC's congestion pricing could change flow of traffic

The new congestion pricing rules for New York City are set to go into effect in May and NJ officials argue it will change traffic across the Hudson. Anthony Johnson has the story.

NY put it on NJ, now NJ can charge $35 out of state plate fee. Creative financing to pay my multiple 6 figure salaries and pensions, next you'll need to pay a fee to walk down the block.😅

They are though. There's the OMNY system, and multiple public transit projects are happening in my area. They'll be able to further improve transit using the funds from congestion pricing.

What I realize is the roads are outdated for the flow of cars and people drive in their own world. For example , it takes 1 min to get from point A to B. It takes 10 cars to go from same point A to B 15 minutes. Just makes no fudging sense. 🤦‍♂️

This whole thing is a scam! The Mis-manage Taxing Association needs to get audited, period! I like how these people that makes these decisions don’t use the buses or trains and get free pass on tolls. Us, hard working people try to make ends meet have to keep paying higher and higher fee on-top of the highest taxes in this country. The MTA system is filthy and dangerous and we have to keep funding a failing system!

MTA will lose in court against state of New Jersey . it time to stop congestion price. MTA doing this selfish making money congestion price. that hurt NJ driver. NJ drive who want to go above 60 street manhattan. must use George Washington Bridge . Hey MTA is hurting the state of NJ driver , so they can make money scheme people hurting NJ driver , .

Yeah, because the vast majority of public infrastructure funds goes to repairing roads, highways, and parking spaces, not public transit. Both the MTA and highways run on a deficit, but public transit yields greater returns for a city than flat stretches of asphalt prone to cracks, weathering, and potholes does.

The female new jersey dj chick is the reason for this. New York residents must understand it's all business. She, and other out of state commuters who snatch jobs (money) out of NYC, should payback in some way, fashion or form. Shame on system for failing hard working citizens of NYC. We shouldn't be the ones constantly overtaxed, picked on and sacrificed for foreign commercial activities. Charge and tax them not us. We work hard for our money. God can testify to that.
