NJ Transit 166X Bus Ride: 2021 MCI D4500CT 21034 from New York to Cresskill via I-95 Express

Footage of 2021 MCI D4500CT 21034 operating on the 166X from New York to Cresskill. The 166X is the super express variant of the 166, skipping Ridgefield, Palisades Park and Leonia, making its first stop in New Jersey in Englewood. Most trips run between New York and Cresskill, with very few trips running to/from Cresskill. This is likely because Coach USA / Rockland Coaches provided daily service to/from Port Authority at one point on Route 20, plus the 167 running in Bergenfield and Dumont along the same street which runs along NJ Turnpike. Since the pandemic there have been more 166X trips running up to Cresskill due to the loss of most Route 20 service.
The 166 main route operates between Port Authority and Cresskill, via Boulevard East and the northern communities of Palisades Park, Leonia Englewood, Tenafly, and Bergenfield. During the peak direction and during certain shoulder periods on weekdays, the 166T operates mainly between New York and Bergenfield via I-95 south of US-46 in Ridgefield. The 166X runs during the height of the rush hour, during that time which most 166T service runs in Leonia. Through service is provided on the 166 local for intermediate riders.
