Njord or Njörðr was the god of wind, seafarers, coasts and inland waters. He was also associated with crop fertility, fishing and wealth. He was invoked by the Vikings before setting out on sea voyages, but also hunting and fishing expeditions. He was believed to have the ability to calm waters and quell fires.
He is the ex husband to Skaði and has two children who are major in the Norse Pantheon and they are Freyjr or Frej and Freya or Freyja .

Unless you're a white male, then you are alone, the world has always been against you and you must reach and maintain the highest standards while no one cares if you live or die. My last sea fishing trip was during the summer of this year, we caught absolutely nothing (save for the seagull that decided to crap on me on the way back 🤦‍♂️). Perhaps next time i should put this music on and make a quick offering and prayer to Njord before our next trip? 🤔🤔
