2017年のイッテンヨンでは全世界が注目する中、オカダ・カズチカ選手と“過去最高の試合”と名高い激闘を繰り広げました。その知られざる舞台裏を独占密着します。
"OnTheRoad" is a brand new documentary series featuring wrestlers from around the world and their NJPW experiences. Episode 9 features “The Cleaner” Kenny Omega at Wrestle Kingdom11.
This episode we follow Kenny Omega on the biggest challenge of his career: the main event at Wrestle Kingdom 11 at the Tokyo Dome! After a break out year winning the G1 CLIMAX as the the first foreign wrestler, he lit up the New Japan ring night after night with groundbreaking matches.
January 4th was the culmination of all this. Exclusive access allowed us to film his thoughts and reactions before and after his fateful match with Kazuchika Okada. A match many have called the best in wrestling history!

To have people legit pouring out tears because Kenny lost shows how powerful his connection to the NJPW fan base has become. It's also interesting due to him being a heel, how unforgettable he has become since starting his wrestling career in Japan. For as amazing and skilled Okada is, he's deserving of the NJPW Heavyweight Championship, make no mistake. But as it stands, Kenny Omega is still unforgettable, even in defeat. That title reign will come for Kenny. It's only a matter of time.

Jamaal Smikle Y2J.2 I wanted at least a One Winged Angel Executed in the Match so it would look Dramatic on Kenny's side whether or not he would have won the Match with it. A Rainmaker even fake can easily be countered but cmon' at least Kenny's Finisher should have been done during that awesome 6 star match.

he didn't connect with the finisher because the wanted to protect him and the Katayoku No Tenshi as a legit and devastating finisher so you know the next time they fight that if he connects that, it's over

Nearly all of Kenny's victories have been won with his One-Winged Angel finisher (save for possibly one against Jay White, I think he won with a V-trigger- which is his running knee strike). NJPW does a great job of protecting talent's finishers as it helps keeps them strong and can be used to add effective drama for matches.
