YOU! Who have never watched New Japan or is very new to it, I REALLY HIGHLY recommend to you these 2 youtube channels: 1) Showbuckle and 2) RealNeatPuro. Because the "informational" side of this predictions video left lots of things missing. These channels are REALLY good in introducing New Japan to beginners. Also, bit disapointed that you didn't mention the role that today's Andrade Cien Almas played in the formation of Naito's gimmick. Also, the stable itself isn't lazy, that's just Naito's thing. Each member has its own style. But overall, this is the video I was looking forward to the most from you guys. Just can't get enough of New Japan content, it is just THE best Pro-Wrestling company in the world right now, and they're on FIRE! So freaking good matches, so freaking good wrestlers and gimmicks, so freaking good storylines and storytelling! It is just so exciting! Wrestle Kingdom isn't "New Japan's Wrestlemania" anymore. It is THE WRESTLING KINGDOM. Like Kenny Omega said, "Wrestlemania is WWE's Wrestle Kingdom now". Best PPV of the year, every year. Except when Dominion tops it, of course.

Guito Trivisan thanks man
@brad-laa50826 жыл бұрын
Guito Trivisan I disagree. I find NJPW boring. I would recommend 2005-09 TNA matches - Unbreakable and Sacrifice 2005 are great PPVS. And I know TNA sucks now, but prime TNA is better than NJPW. 2002-13 WWE is better than NJPW. Some PPVS from those years: 1) Survivor Series 2002 2) SummerSlam 2002 3) Backlash 2003 4) Night of Champions 2009 5) Vengeance 2006 These are better than NJPW.
@italotrivisan97676 жыл бұрын
Brad, I know TNA prime time. And no, that was not better than today's New Japan. Of course there was lots of great matches and storylines, but that's it. The only thing that would top today's New Japan is possibily AJPW's prime. And NOAH's tag team wrestling is also way better than NJPW's tag team wrestling. And hell, 2002-13 WWE is no way NEAR today's New Japan. You said you find New Japan boring, I'm sorry to hear that. But I challenge you to watch the two-video series about Tanahashi and Okada's feud at Showbuckle's channel, then get back here and tell me if you didn't get any interest about it. And those WWE PPV's you listed don't come close the the quality of New Japan's PPV's ever since 2015 or maybe even 2014. You may find it boring 'cause there no shenanigans like in WWE, but I'm telling ya, nowaday's NJPW's storytelling is just phenomenal. You'll see in Showbuckle's videos. Or you can just watch the Okada-Omega legendary trilogy from last year. Just storytelling at its best: everything is told brilliantly inside the ring. And Wrestle Kingdom 10 alone can beat all of the PPV's you listed, specially its last 3 matches: Ishii vs Shibata; Nakamura vs Styles and Okada vs Tanahashi. I just think you don't really know New Japan, because there is no possible way of finding TNA's or WWE's prime better than today's New Japan content. I really recomed you watch Showbuckle's channel and then get back here and tell me what you think, because I honestly think you don't really know New Japan.
@brad-laa50826 жыл бұрын
Guito Trivisan NJPW is nowhere near the quality of Survivor Series 2002. The Smackdown six match, was better than the entire NJPW library. And so is the Elimination Chamber match. Samoa Joe vs Aj Styles at Sacrifice 2005 (Watch it on KZbin now) is better than most NJPW matches. And what did you think of those PPVs and matches?
@italotrivisan97676 жыл бұрын
Brad, this is really insane, you don't know what you are talking about. It makes me wanna rip my eyes off. Yes, the six match was good and the EC even better. THAT'S IT. It was good. But saying that it was better than NJPW fucking library is literally INSANE. Samoa Joe vs AJ Styles was also really great. My favorite TNA match was Joe vs Styles vs Daniels at Unbreakable '05. Best triple threat ever in my opinion. But that isn't better than today's New Japan product. While WWE and TNA's great matches happened once in a while, NJPW puts on phenomenal quality matches on a regulay basis. Here are some matches that are WAY better than anything you listed: - All 3 Kazuchika Okada vs Kenny Omega matches (WK 11, Dominion in Osaka, G1 CLIMAX 27) - Will Ospreay vs KUSHIDA (Best of the Super Juniors 2017 Finals) - Hiroshi Tanahashi vs Tetsuya Naito (G1 CLIMAX 27) - Tetsuya Naito vs Michael Elgin (New Beginning in Sapporo) - Kazuchika Okada vs Katsuyori Shibata (Sakura Genesis) - Kazuchika Okada vs Minoru Suzuki (G1 CLIMAX 27) - Kazuchika Okada vs Naomichi Marufuji (King of Pro Wrestling 2016) - Kenny Omega vs Tomohiro Ishii (any of their 3 matches last year) - Tomohiro Ishii vs Katsuyori Shibata (New Japan Cup Semifinals) - Hiromu Takahashi vs Dragon Lee (New Beginning I think) - Hiromu Takahashi vs KUSHIDA (Dominion in Osaka) - Tetsuya Naito vs Kenny Omega (G1 CLIMAX 27 Finals) And these are just some that I could think of, there are so much more. 2017 was their year. WK11's main event was revolutionary. That's way TODAY there's no wrestling company that can top New Japan Pro-Wrestling. Not even WWE or TNA from the 2000's, it's actually hilarious to make such a statement. AJPW's prime is the only wrestling that could top today's New Japan. Seriously dude, check it out before say that it is boring, that's a fucking sin.

With NJPW making such big waves this past year, I’ve decided to actually give it a real chance. I’ve streamed matches for free but I’ve never actually experienced a full show, let alone pay for it. I live in the US and I just signed up for NJPW World, $8.40 a month seems like a great deal. It was a little confusing signing up but you can translate each page to English. Wrestle Kingdom 12 will be my first show. I hope more people consider paying for the show, WWE desperately needs some competition and I think New Japan appeals much more to true wrestling fans. I’m considering this as an investment for the future of wrestling. Give it a chance!

Bullet Club is supposed to be this heel group in New Japan,but within the last year they've slowly but surely became the top babyface group in NJPW then when LIJ was formed they were such a villanous heel group,but thanks to the popularity of Naito,they're on the fast track to becoming a babyface group (despite one of it's members being named EVIL) The only pure heel faction New Japan has right now is Suzuki-gun and their leader Minoru Suzuki is one man you don't want to fuck with.

Inoki’s Hulk Hogan, Tanahashi’s John Cena, Naito is the best case scenario for Roman Reigns, and Okada’s the modern day version of Ric Flair if not greater, Omega reminded me of Brian Pillman when he came to NJPW, but has since then morphed into his own man that wants to change the world as we know it...
@igoriosalamonqe47066 жыл бұрын
I think as much as I would like Kenny to win, I also agree with Sam about Jericho being the man who could bring more attention from the US. It would also allow Kenny to challenge either Okada or Naito for IWGP Heavyweight Championship. He has beaten Okada during G1, and he never demanded a rematch for the G1 final like Goto did in 2016. With these two NJPW could bring even more fans from the west. So I say Jericho wins by cheating and then Omega wins IWGP Heavyweight Championship at Sakura Genesis.

You guys should do a monthly video series in which you review the top 5 WWE matches of the year with each month serving as an update to the list. Each commentator could take part. The last video of the year, in December, would be a longer video in which each commentator would go more in depth regarding why each match was placed as one of their yearly best. Either in the same video or perhaps another, each commentators top 5 best matches list would be put into a pool and voted on by the commentators to see which would be the official Cultaholic top 10 best matches of the year.

Thank god NJPW got a new IWGP intercontinental title. Not only did Naito throw and kick the belt around ( because that belt was in the main event of wrestle kingdom 8 when tanahashi faced nakamura even though he was fighting for the heavyweight title against okada) but the strap was turning from white to brown because they were mishandling it. Hopefully they have learned their lesson

The real question is, will it be LIJ or Suzuki-gun that interfere for Jericho? I'm leaning towards LIJ due to the Mexico connection. Plus Suzuki-gun already bagged a gaijin recently in ZSJ, they don't need another. Then again, it could be that CHAOS surprise us all due to Jericho's link with Gedo... Honestly, I'd just be happy if the No DQ stipulation is solely there to allow them to bleed, rather than invite interference, since they've already introduced colour in the build.

13seneca Yes. If you are new to njpw, English is the go. If you know the back stories or just after watching the matches, Japanese commentary is the better in my opinion. I'm calling it and have been calling it, that Bullet Club are gonna make a run-in on Jericho, and in the middle of this Balor Club and probably Styles are gonna charge out of the crowd to save Jericho. It's definitely Naito's time. The guy has waaay too much momentum. He is, without a doubt, the most popular guy in Japan right now. Plus, the story line between Okada and Naito has been going on for quite some time now (since Wrestle Kingdom 8 actually).
@jxewarren-94586 жыл бұрын
Kota Ibushi looks like he would be a very good heel to me. He kind of reminds me of Asuka with his brutal moves and I think that Ibushi could use heel momentum to get the IWGP heavyweight title and hold that for quite a while and maybe just maybe manage to be the one the finally unify the IWGP heavyweight title and the Roh world title.

Okada Omega Tanahashi Kushida or Hiromu Sanada's team Suzuki Idj Ropangi 3k
I have the feeling that Jay White will win the Intercontinental Championship. And here are my reasons - 1) Tanahashi is injured. I heard his injuries are really bad. Yes, he will still be able to compete at WK12. But I think he can wrestle just for WK12. If you ask me, Tanahashi should lose the belt and get some time to recover before getting his rematch and winning the title again. 2) I may be the only one who thinks this is just like the Okada situation. A young lion who has returned from excursion challenges Tanahashi right away instead of earning his title shot. And the young lion goes to the match as a heel. Nobody expects him to win the belt, even Tanahashi himself doesn't see himself losing. Then, he shocks both the fans and Tanahashi by winning the belt and beating Tanahashi clean. Obviously, after Jay White attacks him, Tanahashi won't really be that confident and won't underestimate him. But my point still stands. NJPW can shock us again by making White beat Tanahashi for the belt. But it's more likely that Tanahashi would win. He already lost two consecutive times in Wrestle Kingdom (10 and 11). Also, Jay White hasn't really proven that he deserves the belt right away. You can always bring up his performance against Ospreay, but that's not really that convincing and not enough to show he deserves the belt right away

Now there‘s a Theory of mine that i absoloutley think has a 50/50 Chance of happening, and that is that Dolph Ziggler will interfere in the Chris Jericho VS Kenny Omega match. There are also 2 outcomes IF that would happen. The 1st being that Dolph and Chris will form something like the Alpha Club and Doloh will help Chris to win the US Title. The 2nd outcome being, that Dolph will help Kenny Omega and joins Bullet Club. I mean, Dolph is absent from every Social Media, he is a man that gives 100% for Wrestling and he did have a farewell in WWE.

I 100% disagree on the Tanahashi/White prediction. Tana is obviously still New Japan's hero, but let's face it; he's currently a broken man. Now Jay White seems to be a very cold, calculated, opportunistic sort of wrestler, who will definitely take advantage of Tana's injuries (as he has already shown during their brawl at the last Road to Tokyo Dome event). The way I see this match unfolding is obviously Tanahashi giving his all despite all the pain and suffering that White will inflict upon him, and he'll most likely be extremely close to winning. But then White will do something devastating, hit the Blade Runner (which is a great and fitting name for his finisher btw) and pick up the win, forcing the crowd to boo the absolute hell out of him. I don't think that New Japan wanna build up White like they did with Omega (aka doing exactly what you two have explained), but rather they wanna make him this new proper heel that the Japanese fans hate but the Western ones support. How else could they achieve that than by having him not only defeat, but brutalise the universally adored Ace? Plus, this will also give Tana the chance to finally lay down a bit for god's sake, the guy's had a callous 2017 physically wise. So yeah, sorry guys, but that's an awful prediction. Could happen, but I don't see them doing it as the company sees something special in White, just like they did in Hiromu.

Omega is keeping that belt. Absolutely NO WAY NJPW is changing their long term story plans to incorporate a (in essence) part timer.

Jericho might win due to Cody's interference and that could start the implosion of Bullet Club, Boss vs Underboss, Youngbucks and Omega vs Cody and some other Bullet Club members

Brandoon How much does it cost, is there a free month ?

Think it's roughly the cost of WWE Network, cheaper in EU atm (I paid about 7,70 euros) - no free month

Lu Scorpio I don’t think there’s a free month but it’s about $10 USD a month

10$ with no free trial. Once you figure out how to use the site you won’t want to cancel it. I got it for wrestle kingdom 10 and haven’t cancelled since. I use it more than the network honestly.

Okada may be the ace of New Japan but I think it's time his reign as IWGP Champion comes to an end. Naito winning the belt at the main event of Wrestle Kingdom is the perfect ending to his comeback story. Yes he's won it before but winning it at Wrestle Kingdom will matter so much more. He was screwed out of his main event spot at WK 8 and now, 4 years later, he finally gets to have that main event. Ironically, he's going against Okada which was supposed to be the main event of WK 8 but then that poll came out and was replaced by Tanahashii vs Nakamura for their Intercontinental Championship which has WAY more prestige and is respect a lot more than WWE's Intercontinental Championship.
