Well, guys, since I was in South Jersey anyway, I figured why not check out a couple more stations before I make my way eastward to Atlantic City Rail Terminal. For a trip as long of a distance from my house as this, one must make the most of the opportunity, right? Following my time in Berlin, I decided to visit Hammonton station and in addition to railfanning at the station, I wanted to check out the town center and it kinda reminds me of a more boujee version of Red Bank. Definitely an interesting area, not just for railfanning, but for the touring the general area, especially during the summer season.
Until the 1980s, the Hammonton Train Station Chamber of Commerce Information Center, was the original Hammonton station. Around that time, New Jersey Transit built a new station for Hammonton about 1/2 mile east of the old station. It is a bit further away from the Hammonton town center; however, this is a better site, considering that there is additional parking spots for commuters.
On another note, despite having a Raised Letter K5LA, I am surprised with how nice the horn sounds on GP40PH-2B #4202 as it was leading Train #4674 across NJ State Route 54 or the Bellevue Avenue crossing.
Apologies for the funny-sounding audio between, 7:34 - 8:44, guys. There was a song playing in the Hammonton town center and it is copyrighted, so I had to edit it out to ensure that the video does not get demonetized. I hope you all understand. At least, the audio did not sound garbled at a point of the video when a train went by or when I was speaking, so I can deal with that.
With that being said, that is all out of me folks, so I will leave it at that. If you guys enjoyed the video, please feel free to drop a like, comment, subscribe, share the video with everyone you know, and I will see you all on the next one! :D
