Sweet Summer PM Rush Hour catches of NJ Transit & Metro North in Hoboken NJ.

Nj transit has to start running more trains west of Dover. Lots of people go to Hoboken on weekends

I agree that service should run west of Dover and especially between MSU and Denville during weekends, but unless ridership increases by a large margin, it's probably not going to happen.

Another misinformed employee. Secaucus Junction is a taxpayer funded public transit facility. Your first amendment rights apply and she can not legally tell you to stop filming. What is with people freaking out whenever they see a camera? Their lack of understanding first amendment rights is ridiculous. I'm glad you continued to film anyway.

Another Fun Fact: The 5 train goes to Nereid Avenue-238th Street during rush hours! And when the 2 train is rerouted on the 1 line to South Ferry, the 5 train goes to Wakefield-241st Street!
@AaronTheEagle1
@AaronTheEagle1 26 күн бұрын
Yes, I know. I've taken the (5) to Nereid Avenue so many times. Also, I am very aware of the (2) and (5) northbound terminal reroutes. They do that so there is no confusion among train crews when they have to do construction within the Clark St Tunnels.

Washington DC Union station is actually the most unfriendly US train station I've ever been to. I was escorted by the guard who drove a motorcycle behind me until I left the platform. On the other hand, I do understand that for the safety reason, there are many cars loaded with baggages driving through the platform. So it's better to acknowledge people who want to go there that rail fanning in the Union station is not a good idea.
@AaronTheEagle1
@AaronTheEagle1 2 ай бұрын
My suggestion is that while some personnel at the station can be pains in the ass, filming is still legal nevertheless. My only suggestion is to do so at your own risk, but in the same token, be a bit discreet. For the most part, I was doing that since encountering the conductor from Acela Train #2168.

24:05 actually it’s two times they remained stopped & they remained stopped so the conductor can allign the switches and remove the details completely before giving the okay to the engineer that they’re clear to proceed to the Port Jervis station station & enter Port Jervis Yard. The reason they wind up stopping three times is because while arriving into the station/entering they’ll get hit with PTC penalties which puts them in a dead stop.

Eh, some of the staff were chill with me filming. Only one Penn Line MARC conductor said I couldn't be on the platform unless I had a ticket to that particular train and another was an Acela conductor who used the 9/11 excuse. The ones who saw me film the Amtrak coupling were definitely chill as hell.

Once I heard that misinformed conductor say "After 9/11 you can't film ", you know you are dealing with either a poorly educated person or simply a bad person. The only thing I could see him being able to do is ask you to leave the platform for not being a ticketed passenger. Still, I do not believe he handled that confrontation well. He violated your first amendment rights. The worst thing he should have done is said "I'm sorry but this platform is for ticketed passengers only" if he really didn't want you on the platform. That I could see him have some grounds with, but he definitely handled you incorrectly.

@@AaronTheEagle1 You are right but I found what confused me. I found that the address light connects to the transformer which connects to a different source which uses a different circuit breaker. This address light doesn't not use a photo cell so it's constantly on unless I turn off the circuit breaker. This idea is stupid if not flaw. I am surprised the inspector didn't detect this. the two outdoor garage lights are connected to a different source that goes into the photo cell first. I tested the hot wire that comes out of the photo cell after I cover it and I got no power which means the photo cell is bad and needs replaced. The photo cell doesn't connect with the transformer which is fine because these lights are not LED. They use regular light bulbs of any voltage, which is fine with me because need them bright. But the address light is a problem. I need to rewire the transformer to get its source from the photo cell. So stupid whoever installed it.
