Not a tree hugger but the best 2stroke Detroit ever built although grossly under powered was the 6 71in that 4104 GMC. They were ironclad. The rest were leaking junk . Then came the 60 series lots of power, dependable, and clean.

I was so lucky. I drove coaches from '71 to '80. Old Buffalos, Fishbowls, Prevosts, MCI's , Silversides, and Eagles. My first coach driven was a '48 GM transit coach 2-speed auto. My last ride was a brand new 1980 Silver Eagle 5- speed !!

8:15 I rode hundreds of hours on the LOS ANGELES RTD CITY BUSES . This model here would take me from the bus stop at the corner of Highland Ave at Hollywood Blvd> to La Brea Ave down to Sunset Blvd out to Fairfax Ave down to Beverly Blvd out to La Cienega ave & Beverly @ the BEVERLY CENTER where I worked in the Irvine Ranch butcher shop.

I want to drive the # 4 Cape May GMC bus ! I started driving them 43 three years ago. They had a tremendous freight capacity, were wonderful to drive and passengers loved them. Great memories.

I told my son that if ever my pop music takes off, I’m not buying a Bentley nor a Rolls Royce (a Ferrari for sure haha), I want a Fishbowl, I’ve forgotten the model but it’s a Flxible Transit bus from the 70’s used by MaBSTOA (New York City Transit Authority) in NYC, GM Old look, and my favourite as a kid in NYC the Mack C-49. Man, I LOVE buses and nowadays particularly GILLIG.

I've driven them all...big and small. Best intercity bus of them all? PD-4104, hands down. Worst? Tie between PD-4107 and Brill IC41. Second worst? PD-4903/5 ..too much weight on the front axle. Honorable mention goes to the Eagle Model 10.
