We have a similar skate park in Belgium that was built in 1978, the original snake run was restored and a new section was built next to it a few years ago. If you're in Belgium search for Cointe skatepark near Liege. For sure one of the oldest in Europe. These parks are historic monuments and should be preserved at all costs.

I am excited to a kind of stupid level about Andy's new wheels. Yeah, I know they won't make me a better skater, I just like the idea that so much work and detail went into them. I bugged the local shop to make sure they will have them ASAP.

What i like about Andy is that u cant define his skating. Theres no putting it in a specific box. A bit of this leans into that which merges with something else. Creating something new, an amalgamation of all. Park? Street? Freestyle? Mini-ramp? Andy is a sushi roll of all these disciplines; being honest i think he is capturing the true essence of what we do. Now go skate!!

I skated that place 30yrs ago. Still have footage on VHS tapes in a box somewhere. We roadtripped in a packed car full of degenerates from Seattle. It was one of the only parks around back then and we hit Whiterock and an indoor park called The Boarding House on the same trip. Fun memories with good friends.

Livingston Skatepark in Scotland was built in 1981 and is still going strong today. It is now a Listed site so will remain forever.

Ive been a Livi local since 1988. Livi was, for years , the largest park in Europe. Ian Urquhart and Kenny Omonds dreamchild made real. Im sure they visited Del Mar and Uplands in 1979 to find inspiration. Livingston was built in 1981 and is still being shredded today. The original park has been added to and expanded massively. It has it all. Go ask Stu Graham.

We have a park like this in the east of the Netherlands. Supposedly been built in 1979. Shape is not too great, but still kinda skateable. It has a snakerun and a big bank/downhill thing next to it. Pretty cool to still have it around and sometimes cruize. Used to bike for an hour or so to get to it when we were younger; those were good times!

You mean the one in Oldenzaal in the park ? I skated there back in the end of 80's when we did a tour trough the Netherlands. Then end 90's i was there again because i had a girlfriend from Oldernzaal. It was pretty messed up. Trash everywere and cracks all over the downhill run. I hope the cleaned it up

Southbank in the UK was the first commercial skatepark in the UK in 1977 along with Romford in a close 2nd in 1978, both of which still exist, Southbank is still a great spot, Romford has seen better days being outside in the Uk weather an that old style concrete, Andy needs too come to the UK to skate these places, PS Bring dragon wheels

Has he ever been to Halifax? It’s called The commons. Pretty sure it’s been around since the 80’s There’s a weird shaped shallow bowl with no coping that’s fun as F. It’s been updated a bit over the years. I was there once when I was 17-18 and Was handed a foot long spliff in the middle of the day. Good times. 😊
