That looks incredible! Even the smaller track looks 3 times as long as my local. That one is asphalt (tarmac) too and softer, bigger wheels do make a hell of a difference. I only found the place last year but love visiting it. As you say, great fun but really tiring.

Newline Skateparks is building an asphalt temp park in Raleigh NC and they mentioned a top coat that they will apply after the asphalt cures. It’s supposed to seal it, keep temps down,and make it feel more like concrete. I wonder if that’s why that park isn’t officially open yet, waiting for a top coat?

Pump tracks are the best ever! Yes fun squats. . .They're asphalt so the builders can ride and adjust the pumps unlike concrete which is formed and finished. Plus pump tracks are for bicycles as well as anything that has wheels for the most part. The main problem is that it's one way like rain track. Its difficult to be quick with slow riders who are usually tiny people ahead of you. Beware!

Who made that pump track park? Me and 3 other friends were the first people to start petitioning the town we grew up in in the early 90s to get a skatepark built theres still a big chunk of empty land there that something like this would be great on.
