@@nicksantoro868 we only have three snake species the grass snake adder and smooth snake.the grass snake can be found in compost heaps and near water but the other two are as rare as hens teeth unfortunately!

@@Stephen-gp8yi That sucks. But don't feel alone on that aspect. Snakes are nearly non-existent in my part of the state. The Southeast and Southwest part of the US are the best places for finding the best reptiles, especially snakes.

@@Stephen-gp8yi Indigo snakes are so beautiful, but they are very well protected. If you try to handle them in the wild without a permit you could be fined bigtime if caught doing so. And I would probably be the 1st one to get fined because they are so docile and I love them. Just like you, I haven't had the pleasure of meeting a kingsnake of any kind. They're on my bucket list though. Oh to avoid the confusion, the only indigo snake I came in contact with was at the zoo, I'm sad to admit. But for the kids...

I rewatch your videos a lot and just have them playing as background noise. This one I’ve played probably 4-5 times. What is frustrating is that every time I come back to this video, it shows that I haven’t not “liked” this video, which is untrue! So I “re-like” but then it never stays. Grrrr….

Y'all are so brave. I'm terrified of snakes but have been trying to attract Rough Green Snakes and Anoles to my garden to eat the pests killing my crops (it's Organic so no chemicals). I got the Anoles and a little Black Swamp Snake (I think) it's solid, shiny black and only about a foot long but the 2 times I have seen it were during the day and from what I've read they are nocturnal so IDK.

I've been watching your videos for some time now but only recently realized that you deliberately place tin in locations. I thought they were just dumped by people.
@NKFherping
@NKFherping 3 жыл бұрын
A lot of times, it is dumped by other people and then I just reposition it in a better area for snakes. Such is the case with the tin in this video. Just repurposing “litter” into habitat for wildlife!

How do you know which tins that can be lifted with your hands and which ones need to be flipped with a field hook? Because here in Missouri, if I leave tins, I might find a copperhead under one of them or a cottonmouth or worse, a rattlesnake. Though it would be cool to encounter a rattler, I don’t want to be surprised by one

Hi Noah. I love to watch your channel. And love that you move all the animals you find off the road to a safe location. But I can't help but think that maybe they would be better served if you moved them back to the side they were coming from. That larger queen snake is a perfect example. Surely that snake was only on the road to soak up the heat, which is probably the case for most of the snakes you find on the road. That said they are likely to return to the same side of the road once they are satisfied with the heat. Granted some snakes frequent the road looking for food, but they too will likely return to their home territory. I don't think you would argue that the queen snake will return to the streamside which means she will once again have to cross the road. Maybe keep this in mind when moving snakes to a safer location, the opposite side of the road from where they came may not be safer. Thanks. Keep up the great videos!

No. Not really. You feel it, but it’s not painful. That’s why Noah is laughing most of the time when the baby’s bite. Some people will just say “ouch” out of habit, even though it’s not hurting them.
