Wat 'n Geesvervulde liedjie uit Afrika gebore. God seën Suid-Afrika, God seën Afrika. Mag 'God seën ons World "en gee haar vrede en vryheid, soos hy na Suid-Afrika gedoen het. "Kom Gees, kom Gees Kom Heilige Gees, Heilige Gees! " "Laat dit so wees, Laat dit so wees, Forever laat dit so wees! "

As ek, met my self-geleer Afrikaans :P

***** "Forever" in Afrikaans sal seker die twee woorde "vir ewig" wees. "I will be thankful forever" = "Ek sal vir altyd dankbaar wees."

This is amazing! I love how there is an Afrikaans version of Nkosi Sikelel' iAfrika. But it does make me wonder.... is there a version of Die Stem Van Suid Afrika in isiZulu, isiXhosa, or Sesotho? Cause I'd very much like to hear that(then mix it with this to make a reverse version of the national anthem)

Te C-Jones sounds like a great idea.

Lauren Childress this was the Worship team at Lewende Woord Brummeria. The lady leading the worship is Leonor, I think Leonor Gouws, not sure about her surname.

Die volkslied van SA in alle die taal van die land is die beste in die hele wêreld. Even if as a flag I like more the old one (instated before the criminal times of apartheid) Btw, a question, why if countries if South Africa or Australia, or even New Zealand, didn't change their flags after they ended discrimination against the first indigenous people of that countries, South Africa changed it? Was it planned or it was just thought before the 1994 elections? I mean, I did read the biography of Madiba and in not any part of it they talk about changing the flag or as a symbol of oppression, they just talk about " and before the elections, as early as 1992, the need of a new flag started to be discussed.

***** Why Australia and New Zealand kept their flags, I won't know, possibly because it was not the previously oppressed that came into power. As for the new SA flag, I would not know all the reasonings, etc. but I think the (20 year old) new flag is much more representative and African, where the old one were more European.
@Morally_Reprehensible7 жыл бұрын
There was no significant oppression in New Zealand like the one experienced in south Africa
