NKOTB 1989 Perform on Don't Just Sit There

Artists back in the day had to fight to prove themselves. They had to play horrible, and often embarrassing gigs. These guys put in their time, and fought through the ridicule. They didn't listen to the haters, and kept working. It's my belief that that's the reason they became such a huge success, and are still topping the concert charts today. Performances like this humbled them, and sharpened their act. There were thankful once the true success came. Artists today get famous on KZbin, and don't have to face many crowds standing there with their arms crossed, giving you a shitty look.

Man I dare Justin Beaver or anyone making a name for themselves looking for 15 minutes of fame via youtube to go through the whole process of what real artists did 20 years ago. My band and I struggled when we walked into the door at BMG and Jive Records here in Toronto. But we still appeared on Much Music trying to make something of ourselves. REAL, RAW & Natural talent sounds like this, not that synthetic crap that every artist uses today to enhance their vocals. NKOTB still going strong.

Who told Jonathan and Danny those shorts were okay? (actually, I would like to shout that out to whoever decided those shorts were in fashion in the 80s). BTW, it was this performance I remember telling my brother I liked that band (didn't know who they were). He got me their tape and that's how I became a fan. The lovely life of a 5/6 year old.

Para todos los que dicen que es una audicion horrible.... Yo soy fan de NKOTB, y es verdad que aqui suena fatal, pero NO son sus voces, NO desafinan.. simplemente piensa que ese era un programa perfecto para el playback, ya que los microfonos que hay allí son de la calidad más baja, y claro si ellos se niegan a hacer playback y quieren cantar con un material tan malo pues... suena asi xD pero si no, mirad sus voces en un concierto, suenan muy distinto!! Saludos y viva new kids on the block!
