I really like how your interview style bhut' Nkululeko, how you ease into it with seemingly "frivolous topics" to get the interviewee comfortbale and I like how you didn't have a sense of "I know what you are talking about" instead you wanted to be educated about the topics you weren't necessarily familiar with. It's quite commendable.

I wish Thulo was just honest about social cues that exist regarding gender and sexual identity. When a gay/straight man sees another man that has nail polish on all fingers the first assumption will be that he's either interested in experimenting with the same-sex, questioning his sexuality or just gay 🤷♂. There's nothing wrong with stating that some things are just pure assumptions based on how we have been socialized in the past.
