They are so good at eating algae that the only downside of them is you need to supply them a steady source of algae. Like the one in the vid... A stone with algae grown on them.

@@thecrazieone5452not an expert but that might not be a good idea you might introduce a parasite or something in the tank, instead you can put your tank near a window so sunlight goes in or keep the aquarium light on 24/7 so algae grows.

Sand from the sea may contain lots of tiny living things, maybe even parasites, don't want those near your goldfish.
