Great video... It would be exciting to go to Denver CO... (not too far away)... Question: What is the difference between a NLP Coach and a NLP Therapist?
@NLPwithDrHeidi5 жыл бұрын
Hi again Judi - there isn't much difference at all between the work of an NLP Coach vs. Therapist - the difference is in the topic the client brings to you. Coaching is generally more goal based and therapy is more emotional/psychological. However, what I've experienced in the past 20 years - even if someone desires a coach for a goal, it usually 'turns into' therapy because there is a block or limitation holding them back. NLP is such a versitile tool that you can help people regardless of what they bring to session. I hope to meet you in Denver!!

@@NLPwithDrHeidi I totally agree with your explanation... Start with Coaching and end up with sorting out "What ifs..." etc...

Hi, Dr Heidi, i like the way you ask questions. You respond well with people, i think you ald incorporate both counseling and NLP skill making you an amazing healer.. May i know your point of view why you have such 20 years of counseling skill but still think that NLP is the best tool in your career?

As a person who trains coaches including NLP , i can tell you she is mainly a councellor/ therapist she is using some of the NLP questions ( eg she is checking for ecology- will your decisions be good for your envirnmentand, Milton model) and pattern- part integration - also not a proper pattern, it should be part negotiation instead. I would fail her on my NLP certification on how she presents this pattern. She is not calibrating the client, has to see the hands- she doesn’t pace the client, she impose her own content. Let them come together- horrible. Client was not ready, again, she is not calibrating the client well. She should never tell client to bring hands together. She has to check , where are the hands? They want to come together - what stops them to come together. She also uses some ICF coaching questions . She is using a lot of content which is NLP and she put words in client mouth, which we do not do. We don’t comment : it is a good thinking. It is content imposition. She also nods her head which is non verbal content imposition, and it is not a way to build rapport . There is not much rapport to even start the pattern. She didn’t ask the right questions at the beginning , there were questions that should have been asked.

@@petrasmiles1029 Agreed. There is a human psychology of pacing, absorb and aligning with a person, its meant to be a journey of self-discovery and awakening. Could these myriad of questions not be done before ....and then in the session the coach start leading them down to path
