I really liked the guidance around noticing when a "contract" has been made. That's useful to me. As is thinking through the SMART framework during the coaching engagement. - However, I did see at least two instances in this video where the coach missed the mark: 1) The "client" clearly asked for a way to integrate all of her different passions into a cohesive path. The coach missed this and instead prematurely asked her about "what conversations she wanted to have" or "what action steps she wanted to take" (which are impossible to answer when you don't know WHERE you even want to go) vs. questions that would bring a little more clarity to what 'integrating all her parts' could be like and where the "client" might be able to start with that process, or even giving guidance on how to do so. --- Having multiple interests and not knowing how to integrate them all is a common struggle I see in those who are deep thinkers, who want to create something entirely new out of multiple disciplines, and who want to incorporate their "whole selves". This was the singular reason she got stuck. Her big, hairy problem was was left unidentified and UNSEEN and she felt it deeply. 2) The "client" had tears falling (which is obviously 100% okay in a session). But, the assistant in the room offered a Kleenex which the coach took, but never offered to the client. Symbolically, this felt harsh in light of the depth of pain the "client" was experiencing. Maybe the coach will get there with the "client" in another session...because the big, hairy problem/blockage will come up again. Coaching is roundabout like that. Just wanted to chime in as I see this kind of client fall through the cracks so often. When what they are subconsciously or overtly begging for is integration of all their amazing parts. When they can see how it ALL can fit together in an amazing, unique, new WHOLE that feels highly aligned, the stars align and action can be unleashed.

Galina seems very deep, with very high standards for herself, and a strong need to feel inspired & passionate about whatever she does. It seems from this video that she sees many possibilities, and perhaps its more difficult for her than some to narrow down her choices. I assume it would take a very intuitive and compassionate coach to assist her in connecting the dots, so to speak, to arrive at a plan of action.

The coach is patient, able to bring a very scattered thinker with an unclear picture of what she wants, towards at least some sort for positive forward direction. At times this was painful to watch...but insightful. I'd love to see a coaching example with a "client" that has a bit more of an idea on where they want to get to in life. That said, I'm sure that a good portion of people are exactly where Galina is at...not really able to clearly explain what they want. Good to see how to best approach that sort of starting place. Great job Coach!

It seems to me that she needs a clear vision for her life. I would run this by her, see if she can come up with action steps to get a clear vision and suggest a few of my own (e.g. just capture all those ideas about things she wants to do - then group them into categories, then maybe they all fit under one big umbrella). For example, I want to help others find ways to feel better and find ways out of their bad situation, to resolve interpersonal conflicts, have their own needs met, be compassionate and give without expecting in return, act with integrity, be motivated, create magical moments and find the magic in life, discover and grow their talents and passions; look after their health and look after the environment. I also want to travel and experience for myself what life is all about, its beauty and what the world REALLY needs. Now that list looks overwhelming. If I chunk it into categories though: Self-mastery; Win-win relationships; Self-actualisation; Contribution; Enjoyment at least I can see that I have 5 life projects, which is more manageable. In fact, when I put the actions under the categories I found the contribution category wasn’t necessary and enjoyment could fit under self-mastery or self-actualisation (doing what I love and loving what I do (and experience))! So that leaves me with Self-mastery, Self-actualisation and Win-win relationships. 3 chunks - I’m getting more excited! I read through my action items again and ask myself “why?”. Interestingly, it all comes down to creating a better life for ALL living beings - but if it’s just for wellbeing and happiness - would there be stagnation? Then that would be boring - growth is required even in paradise! So two themes come up: paradise and growth (or enhancement)… I sit comfortably and meditate, letting thoughts flash in my mind until I arrive at… Synergistic growth!!!!!!!! This gets me excited: Developing oneself in a way that helps others to grow!! 2 questions come up “how are you growing?” and “how can you use your growth to help others grow?”. My house peace lilies are a perfect analogy for my life’s vision: I love watching them grow!! I love how it cleans the air (contribution) and brings beauty (self-actualisation) to my home! I know that in order for it to do that, it needs to have a win-win relationship with me where I give it what it wants (the right amount of water and sunlight, bigger pot on occasion and a safe environment). It also needs enough self-mastery to make use of the nutrition its provided, as I need the self-mastery to take proper care of my plant! As I grow in self-mastery, my plant grows in self-actualisation, and nurtures my health and emotional wellbeing so that I have more inner resources to both self-actualise and have more win-win relationships! My peace lily and I are experiencing synergistic growth! This is my vision for my life and the world and it EXCITES ME!!!! :D

She was trying to lump several different topics into this one 20-minute session hoping to have a 'miracle'. Her goal needs to be chunked down and each part examined separately before putting it all back together. Not only is they going to give her clarity but, it is also going to give the coach a multi-session client. This can't be done in just 20 minutes or even one hour.

Protect Happy Great information... (but please next time break up into readable smaller paragraphs...) instead of one continuous sentence. This was hard to read, because the lines ran into each other. I love what you had to say, and I agree with it... and the fact it was a long dilatation make it more prudent to break down into smaller lines so we can read it better... This is why, when we read a book, it is usually a 6" x 9" not typed in a WHOLE page, 8.5" x 11". It is easier to read shorter lines, than extra long continuous lines... Thank you for taking the time to explain all of this, I really enjoyed your vision.

Thanks for the upload. I'm a new coach and appreciate different methods, styles and etc.. I liked some of her questions which made coachee think out of the box, and made her imagine and get out of the box. However, in overl I found the style being too much leading. It looks like the coach is the main actor of this conversation, it should be the coachee. I heard more from coach than coachee ( not including pause and explanation parts). Appears like coach is working on a remedy for coachee, not coachee herself...

Good video in a sense that you really will experience this more than not. People that will have a clue, may not have a clue on how to reach their goals step by step. It would then be our job to peel it back and and help the client. At first, Gallina(?) came off positive but then had more conflict in expressing what she really wanted. Am still a bit perplexed on what she wanted but I understand it more. Great video!

I think the information is OK, but it's definitely very dragging... This person may be GREAT as a one on one coach, but I don't think this person is someone who should be coaching groups... I'm not sure the end result here is going to bring about a strong memorable event for most of the participants.

I think the coach is trying to help on some level, but on another level she is using the coachee as an example of a "bad, abstract client" and I'm sensing the coachee feels sad because she does not feel totally seen or supported...
