I'm a big guy too, and can agree getting in and out is a b!tch. I just got replacement brackets, but I think I'm going to contact a machine shop and get solid brackets made so I feel secure in using the back to pull myself up. I also use the lumbar pillow as a headrest.

I just got this commercial edition a couple of weeks ago and I'm definitely stealing your idea on the side stick mount that you can lift up to slide into the chair. I'm also a bigger guy, and it can be a bit of a pain to get in and out of this thing even with the sliding chair and the keyboard mount pushed forward. I have to disagree on the seat comfort, I've had to add a pad to the bottom and it's still a bit lacking. Another thing I did is use the yoke plate and keyboard mount on the stick side to put my mouse so it was in a more elevated and comfortable position.

Instead of chain, you should use a small shock like used on a trunk, love the additions, think im gonna do something similar but with shocks and keyboard slide, thanks for inspiration

Could you put a force feedback wheel in the middle where your MFD's are? I have a race/flight pit currently where all I have to do is swap my pedals for rudders. This is my decision factor in whether or not I get this pit or not, thanks.

That's a great idea for your stick. Another option would be to use a linch pin.

My biggest issue with this seat is the inability to easily install an extended length center stick…..or to easily swap out a throttle system for a helicopter collective. Its fine as is if you only fly vipers or something with side stick that doesnt need more movement.

I wish the pedal frame was 2 connecting pieces that fit inside each other to shrink or increase to max size.. I just assembled my cockpit and it is too long.. I can cut it and bridge them together with the foot platform piece but shouldnt have to do that for something so expensive.

wow! I have 2 Aussies and the fuzz is in effect! Having watched the DOF reality vid, I dug deeper to find this. I'm into it. Do you get numb butt in that seat? Longest Seat Time? comfort of the seat cushions?

I know I am a bit late on the message. I just got this seat and trying to set up some of my panels and a tablet on the left side. I would like to do the same that you did with the t-slot rails. I tried to click the link on patreon but its no longer available. I looked on amazon but there are so many options and sizes i dont know what to get. Very nice and the price is definitely right. Funny my daughter was just telling me that I should move my computer room to the big room in the front of my place and get a pit. But honestly looks tempting lol. How do you like the Virpil throttle?

This is entry because you went out and bought a bunch of stuff that isn't necessary. I have had these cockpit style setups and found them inconvenient, uncomfortable and super nerdy. Allot of that stuff can be controlled by keyboard and all you really need is a good joystick and simple throttle like the Logitech pro. All those little buttons are just for looks. A good setup is one that is easily moved aside or not interfering with your conventional PC setup.
