+Larry Castro Debbie didn't just win it, it was the band Blondie. Other bands have won. Funny the woman who won a few years ago was a TV reporter and she took it as a joke. she later went on a show called Stars In Your Eyes in the UK and did a tribute to Debbie and is a big fan of her. Jenny Bond a Royal correspondent also went on the same show and did a tribute to Debbie. On KZbin somewhere. Did anyone see Debbie Harry The One Show interview..

One the tightest, most driving, most compelling BANDS ever. That combined with Debbie Harry's controlled, forceful singing (she and the guys wrote tunes that were supremely melodic... that was hardly the case with the other "punk rock' bands on the CBGB scene) made (makes) for a winning formula. l feel that Clem Burke is the best rock drummer to ever sit behind the kit. He is the element in their unique combination that puts the band "over the top."

Yeah they left their mark, original innovative, white girl singer rapping, bringing it to a British audience. They continue to experiment and slip things in their recordings that are like ripples on a pond, gentle yet powerful . So this is why they should carry on being an active force .
