I mean, I think the romanticization of death during addiction is perfectly understandable, so I get why I felt the way I did at that time and I don’t feel ‘bad’ or ashamed about it, but it definitely makes me cringe to think about now - and I don’t say cringe to mean “makes me feel embarrassed” but more like “makes my skin crawl.” And yeah, I also have a really hard time listening to some of the music that I listened to then, for essentially the same reason I just mentioned.
