Fascinating man. No hype, no bs, no ego, just pure honesty. I could listen for hours.

I'm terribly sad Charlie has departed. I hope he passed peacefully and not in too much pain.

In the 80's, Charlie was asked "whats it like being in the Stones for 25 years"? His answer..." well its 5 years of work and 20 years hanging around." You are a legend Mr. Watts. All the best. We love you.

Old School, pure gentleman untouched by fame. "Anyone who plays in a Jazz band in a pub" section shows the true soul of this man. What a truly lovely person. You could listen to him for hours. Brilliant interview.

Just watching this interview following the very sad news of Charlie's death today. What a wonderful man and what wonderful talent. I love the bit where he says he left at the end of every tour then his wife says "why don't you go back to work you're a nightmare". Made me laugh and cry at the same time.

The vision of a wired Mick frantically trying to reach a relaxed Charlie - who has no cell phone - is classic!

Back in 1963/64, my dad said that the Stones wouldn't last more than a year. So I made a point every 10 years to let him know that the Stones were on tour. Some 55 years later I treated my adult kids to a Stones concert. Best Rock and Roll band to have ever exist!

Absolutely the coolest, most interesting guy in rock. He's too modest when he says that Mick and Keith would carry on without him. They've both stated that it would all end without Charlie. How could the Stones exist without him rolling his eyes at the proceedings onstage and laying down the tightest, most recognizable groove in music? As with Zeppelin, when the foundation disappears, it's over. Rock on, jazzer Charlie...........................

He is one of the most talented, unselfish, down to earth human beings living today. After all these years it's hard not add one more obvious compliment. His inner strength must be rock solid in order for him to have held on to his sanity after living in a crossfire hurricane named the Rolling Stones for over half a century. I tip my hat to you sir and say you're a better man than I could ever be.

What an incredible odyssey it has been for this eclectic man. His shyness and no small amount of humbleness has endeared him to his band mates and to the fans. His skills are praised from many very fine musicians. I’ve had the privilege to meet him and speak with him and even give him a gift. I will remember that as long as God gives me.
