shadow woods was removed during a time where bean was very strict about what tracks were eligible for removal, based on the "popularity" metric that keeps peaks in, and unfortunately it was just not a track that got picked a lot leading up to its removal

Does he not still do that? Given how many hot garbage tracks are still in, I'd guess that's still how it's judged. Garbage tracks are going to stay because they get picked by the players that know them to farm VR.

from what i understand Bean has a selection of tracks already picked out and then people can vote to remove tracks from those only. that system sucks because tracks that actually need to be removed will never even get in the selection to begin with. dreamworld hellhole or whatever its called is so old i remember seeing it in videos when i was in elementary school and im in college now

@@SeaOfPixels at the time I was talking about, the top 150 most picked were strictly barred from removal. over time, this has been reduced to I believe top ~50 most picked. we have statistics on what tracks players actually want removed the most, and tracks at the bottom of the list have been more frequently appearing in removal polls and being voted out, including dreamworld cloudway, which is actually currently in that top 50 most picked. the last track rating poll was held in january. here's how the bottom 20 or so from then stack up now: 218: star slope, removed 217: peaks, #1 popularity 216: color wonderland, #29 popularity 215: mushroom valley, removed 214: color circuit, removed 213: six king labyrinth, #12 popularity 212: undiscovered offlimit, #52 popularity. was included on one removal poll, but it survived 211: sky shrine, has survived multiple removal polls 210: nivurbia, is eligible for removal but has an update in progress 209: forest creek, has survived multiple removal polls 208: disco fever, secret tracks are very weird as far as removal eligibility goes 207: item fireland, will be removed next update 206: dreamworld cloudway, #43 popularity, will be removed next update 205: lumpy's lively lair, is eligible for removal 204: snes choco island 2, will be replaced with a new version next update 203: hellado mountain, removed 202: ctr n gin labs, #42 popularity 201: lava road, will be receiving a major visual update in the next version

@@G-Force7 Here’s my take and what I think the general consensus is: even with “only” the top 50 most picked tracks being unremovable, those tracks are still going to be all the worst/oldest ones, as they’re the ones that reward practice the most (bad design) and have been practiced the most (oldest). I think Peaks being spammed for free VR making it number one, even with its widespread reputation, should make it obvious that this system doesn’t work, and that tracks should be judged on their own merits.

for desert fort at the start the top route is fastest but theres no set , the cut in the fort can be dine shroomlrss and theres a shroomless cut and the end if you go to the leftboff of one of the ramps

It’s great to see you guys play custom tracks since you always play regulars, but it’s a bummer to hear you say you aren’t having fun. I understand the frustration of playing tracks and not knowing where to go, but it’s not always enjoyable to hear you guys consistently (though completely reasonably) complaining. If it’s too much of a pain, there’s nothing wrong with stopping and doing something else. It’s the most fun to see you playing where you’re having a great time and we’ll watch anything you create so don’t feel shackled to doing something so unbearable and unenjoyable for you
