🔔 Subscribe! ▷ bit.ly/2udIfG6 Welcome to the next video in the Most Iconic WRs series. This is a great one. What lead シュウト to his 2:18.930 WR and unwavering dominance was not a common occurrence at the beginning of the game. Track specialists blossomed early on but very few had an all consuming dominance and maintaining it. I hope you all enjoy this video and look forward to future episodes. ✅ The Last Episode: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nHKaiWpnbpKUbKs ✅ The Most Iconic WRs Playlist: kzbin.info/aero/PLrashY4a9IM_1rk-rGiLRH5wdrIYS3fSi ✅ The History of Waluigi Stadium Ultra Shortcut: kzbin.info/www/bejne/e4u0lHaCa5KXrK8 ✅ The History of Mario Kart Wii World Records - Q1 2022: kzbin.info/www/bejne/b5ybiIuvYtF9qJo

It still blows my mind that someone (Demon) is over 2 seconds ahead of another player in a no glitch category of a track. A gap like that and the dominance for so many years with so many top tier time trial players is pretty incredible.

Demon is an absolute monster of a player! His lead on MT is crazy!

Nmeade is bringing a new light on these heroes of the past … all of them undoubtedly contributed and motivated a lot of players to play these tracks. Loving this series of video , I can’t wait for the next one !

Such amazing content Nick; I never even knew about Shuto’s dominance of this track in 2008, and it amazes me how quickly in the game’s history that a time of 2:18 had been achieved. Amazing storytelling and great insight throughout this video!

Yeh, it's not even funny how underrated he is. He should have at least 1m. Subs or more. I love you, NMeade so much!

Late to commenting, but it's seriously insane that Syuto managed to get a 2:18 back in 2008 and he used the strats that were found back in 2008!

I love this series because much like time trials are a very short speedrun, these are a very short speedrun history video for when I can't dedicate an hour to the full thing (although I'll happily dedicate 3-4 to grinding times)

8:44 god i remember back in the day the leaderboards were FILLED with glitched times. thank god we dont gotta deal with that nowadays, thanks to bean and all the anti-cheat measures in ctgp
@wio12 жыл бұрын
Were they glitched or cheated times? If they're glitched times, I wonder what caused that (I know the leaderboards were super glitchy back then but I wonder if anyone knew the cause for things like that)

I want to see a new video in this series which is the 1st glitch world record on Maple Treeway.
@ChrisGamingNL3332 жыл бұрын
Most of the no-glitch world records are insanely precise and are very impressive :D They take a lot of skill and if you even make one slight mistake the whole run might be ruined
@Suwawako2 жыл бұрын
9:04 how come Josh got a higher time? Did he do the glitch?
@NMeade2 жыл бұрын
Back in the Nintendo WFC era (2008-2014), people were able to exploit cheats to make an impossible time and upload it to the leaderboards (it was more common for let's say a 00:00:012 or something). We'd have to wait a long time at certain points for Nintendo to clear the cheated times from the top 10s. That time is one of those cheated times, the MT glitch wasn't known until a few years later

I wonder why those players are suddenly stopping the game while they're at the top... Such a track specialist could've helped the community and improve the understanding of that track. When we think about that, we can say only one thing "what a waste". He coyuld've been the Niyake of Maple Treeway
