Blue painters tape to cover working area. Also keeps paint from chipping. Kudos on your manhood. Some people have issues committing to drilling holes😂

Nice job with the install. Have you noticed any impact to your vehicle radio while transmitting due to the close proximity to the shark fin antenna?

No ill effect whatsoever.

I used same exact mount, great quality. I’ve used same one for 3 vehicles and 1 is still in use today with over 6 years without an issue to my knowledge. Wish I would have videoed doing my last one a few months ago. Good job by the way. KK4LBX

Yeah, it's what I found in my parts box. I'll probably never use that high frequency function, but it does seem to have a little better coax.

@@n5yiz same here, I’ll never use it for that high of frequency but I like the dual shielded coax and type of metals it made from compared to solid brass.

What antenna did you use and will it work on any cb radio??
@n5yiz3 ай бұрын
The antenna in the video is a Tram 1115-B. I don't think there are many options for NMO mountable CB antennas. The Larsen NMO27 will work for CB use, but you need to check you bandwidth requirements.
