Hi... I think the 2nd part derivation of vout voltage from current equation is also applicable for first Part also..this is because the vout vol. Will cause certain current flow through resistor and to support this current we need a certain amount of vgs/vds drop across the nmos.so in first case vout will be lesser than 4V.

First I paused the video and solved it and I found that my waveform and thought process is exactly same as you, but it was quite lengthy. So, if same kind of questions are asked in interview then do I have to answer in the same way as you explained?

It won't be lengthy after you solve more problems like this and it's fine if it takes time. If your interview goes well It can go upto/above 1hrs

Most of the part is correct , however when input is 10 and output glitch comes back from 14 to 4 ...it stays there ...won't discharge further as mos is holding the voltage at 4 ...please correct that part
