used to study physics in NMS sir's class in 2019. i used to respect him soo much and talked with him alot of times outside the class regarding problem solving skills, continuity, etc. he used to say - "manna bhagwan ne kismat me likh dia ki kharab hoga tumhare sath. par itni mehnat karo ki unse ladke usse accha lelo jo milne wala hai, khusi khusi jao raste me sochte hue ki aaj to itne sawal lagaunga maza ajayega." Now this is my last year in IITR. oh man i have come very far, considering the mediocre student i used to be. so much nostalgia, that "bye rahega" and all. got to know that he is not in allen now and having his own coaching, i am happy for him. he used to tell us that he had so many ideas but he get so much excited about them and think about it all day that he loose interest in starting out. and yes i can recall that group of physics teachers in allen which used to play tennis, i guess, in the evening. i hope they all stay happy and successful. I can never forget those mahaveer nagar 3 ki galiyan, ohh man.

In the syllabus of jee advanced exam class 11 and class 12, there is a small error in a question, so the students are starting a discussion about the question. Sir , but in the chimney how you can use Newton's equations as acceleration is not uniform . And sir agar land pe pressure P hai toh top pe toh P - rho.g.(H+h) hi aayega naa . Toh correct ans 60.8 hi aayega . And sir inside the chimney agar density vary nahi kar Rahi hai toh , streamline flow hogi and hence we can apply bernauli and Hence got velocity √60 m/s. . Sir I think 60.8 is correct and many topper students challenged . I think IIT will bonus or 60.8 .

I skipped this question as soon as I saw it, I didn't wanted to drain my energy to a seemingly unsolvable question, instead I gave extra time to the ones whom I could solve, I'm scoring more than my actual calibre and capabilities which is 134 and I'm more than satisfied with it.

Sir I have some major concern... First when the air is entering into the Furness there pressure is same in both places 1. Out side. 2. Bottom of the Furness.... Now when the gas is getting hot inside the Furness i think it was gaining some kinetic energy and so you can assume that the velocity in which air is entering inside the Furness is equal to the velocity just below the chimney.... And also if we consider g effective then there is a high probability that the gas particle which enter before another particular is getting accelerated and have there will be a relative velocity between them... So the density will not remain constant inside the chimney(which was told to assum in question)... Plz try to clear this doubt...😅

Argument that you have given regarding Bernoulli inside furnace is wrong. Velocity inside the furnace changes because of density change. We cannot apply Bernoulli even if flow is laminar here because heat is being added to the gas in the furnace. But I agree with you about the ambiguous language used to describe the nature of the heating process

we consider it to be incomprehensible so density can't vary. As fluid is flowing through varying cross section area it's velocity is changing to maintain it's density constant. As a result fluid is experiencing a force maintaining it's density constant. Hope it's convincing

@@puneetbajaj786 The cross sectional area is not varying it's constant throughout the tube except the furnace. If the cross sectional area was varying then Bernoulli's Therom would not be valid. Hope u understand 👍

Nms sir:- You are strawmaning the arguments of opposite side. We don't say Newton's laws can't be applied, they can be. Our problem is with your assumption of ,"hatta hatta kay uppar jayaygaa" You assumed temperature of some already present gas in chimeny constant at 300 and rising air constant at 360:- No data in the question backs this up. Second drawback of your solution is that you somehow managed to find acceleration of air While we know for a fact that in chimeny density and area being constant So by continuity equation velocity is constant and hence acceleration is zero. Try answering any of these points before defending your solution for nothing. As far as Bernoulli not being valid between bottom and top of furnace.that is something obvious. In furnace energy is being added to air . And it is a known fact that Bernoulli isn't valid when external energy is somehow added in between the two points. I hope this reaches you Thanking you

Aor ye question abhi bhi yet to answer hai. Ki acceleration agar prior to steady state nikala (as you said early) to mass flow rate bhi prior to steady state hii hogaa and I am sure ki examiner after steady state is achieved hii pochaygaaa? Kyon And acceleration ka steady state say seedha seedha relationship hai After cold air is initially displaced only hot air will remain in chimeny The bouyant force game won't be true for even Seconds

Inko abhi bhi apni galti dikhi nahi He still thinks that the problem is him applying kinematics equation to solve fluid dynamics problem 1) The issue is not that sir , the issue is you've found out the mass flow rate before steady state has been established, then how can you say that the steady mass flow rate will also be same , please prove it ( as you've proved beautifully in this video that whole mechanics is based on Newton's law) 2) You said Bernoulli is not applicable in furnace so why should we apply it in the chimney. In Bernoulli's theorem where is it written that if it fails somewhere then we can't apply it somewhere else . Obviously Bernoulli will fail within furnace ( because of the heat being provided, Steady flow energy equation will be applicable within furnace which only Vinay Uppal sir discussed but he also messed up while applying it ) Your statement (2) clearly shows that your concepts in fluid mechanics are ........ sir please review question 10 physics paper1 the answer is 3 not 1, i think because when you have error of 1 percent in 2 quantities.
