That scope knocked my socks off this year at NEAF. Now it’s goto, extremely impressive my friend. Keep up that great work you’re doing. Donnie

I always taught about videos in which people only show their telescopes the same as making a new mobile phone review without turning the device on... am I the only one curios how an sky object looks through that giant?

At this point you pretty much need a chair built into it close to the focuser, because who wants to get up and down a ladder
@JasperJanssen4 жыл бұрын
Then also move the finders up. Built in observing chairs are more 19th century observatory tech than dobsonians, it seems to me.

Wow! That's my dream Dobsonian! I can't believe this is GoTo. I can't even imagine how amazing visually this scope is. I have a 10" Dobsonian and it's great, so this must be mind-blowing!

Where are you located? There is an event in the US near Canada, Cherry Springs State Park. A guy last year had a 36 inch Dob out there, the views will makes you utter "holy shit", never fails lol. If you are able(and this dumb ass plandemic is over) I'd definitely make it a bucket list thing to do at least 1 time.
@matthew9444 жыл бұрын
@@Kjraider2009 That sounds amazing! Can you see galaxies visually with an aperture that large? I've never been below Bortle 7. I've never seen anything past Saturn except clusters.
@Kjraider20094 жыл бұрын
@@matthew944 You should make it a point to get into a class 4 or better sky at some time in the future. The 36 footer was impressive and I only really took a quick look. Even with a 10 dob in a good sky will net some nicer views. If you have to, buy a L-eXtreme, very good at crushing light pollution on a budget.
@matthew9444 жыл бұрын
@@Kjraider2009 Update. I just saw the M42 for the first time last night! Talk about a "holy shit" moment! It was absolutely incredible! What is an L-extreme? Is that a light pollution filter?
@Yorker19984 жыл бұрын
I've only ever looked through a cheap refractor telescope from Wal-Mart so even looking through a 10 inch scope would be something else. I honestly just want to see the rings of Saturn and Jupiter's cloud bands more than anything. Imagine what this monster scope could do.

This size requires a dedicated observatory. Roll off roofs have walls that block dobsonians. What kind of buildings do these go into? I would simply have a garage door and roll this out. Do these roll?
