I agree couldn't be anymore more golden. What some tutorial lack a lot is simulated scenarios. You learn, follow as you're learning then apply what you have learnt.

I'm new to Wireshark and this was an excellent video to get me started. it would have been helpful for me if the video had also gone through a frame from top to bottom to explain some of the terminology and what is actually going on because some of it is confusing and not obvious - at least not obvious to me.

Hi, and welcome. The purpose of this video is to learn how to use Wireshark to capture network traffic and analyze it for security weaknesses.

Why no option to save this video to a playlist? I've never seen that before.

Not sure why that would be?

@@NNAdminnot sure, I see it now though. Good video, thank you! I was going to say maybe I was being dumb and not logged in, but apparently I commented with the account. Weird

I am 57, looking for a hobby. This stuff interests me a lot. What sort of laptop should I be getting, and how should I set it up securely. Do you have any other video recommendations. A pretty big can of worms, I know.

Hi, I would setup a virtual lab on a laptop/desktop you have. That way you have a network to use to test with that is isolated. Check out my recent video on how to build your own lab.
