I'm just here because it's a much better quality and legit HD version of this race than the one NASCAR put up. Plus, it's the non-international feed so no overkill NASCAR logos censoring shit.

1:35:25 3:09:30 This is something I miss so dearly about NASCAR. Every time Dale Earnhardt Jr. assumed the lead at a Cup Series race, especially at Talladega, the grandstands would erupt in wild cheers!!!!

I just remember sitting on the couch thinking, "Damn, does he have a pair to go do burnouts after that tom-f***ery." Following shortly after that was pure amazement at just how many boos he got when he climbed out of the car.

How can you be proud of winning that way? Classless Vickers. Jr. and Eury were super classy when they had every right to be furious.
@gary24fan3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, and all those similar moves DE made over the years were very classy. You Earnhardt fans are so fucked in the head. You could watch a race with 75 lead changes and a 5-wide finish for the win with Gordon or McMurray or someone else winning and you guys would talk for years about how boring it is, but DE wins a race by 10 laps and it's the most exciting thing you ever saw. Piss off.

I remember this quite vividly... was pissed then and am still pissed. Junior probably wouldn't have won, more than likely the 48 would've won but still... for him to get wrecked like that... but Junior got him back at Daytona in '09 so I guess what goes around comes around.

@@GretaVanZeppelin1996 You talking about the replay at 3:30:55? Not gonna disagree that he turned into Jimmie, but you think you can judge intent from that? It's possible he could have just been trying to follow Jimmie down to the bottom. Jimmie was making some quick moves to get around Jr. and Brian was trying to follow but happened to have a slight run on him at the time and went to turn down to get right behind him and push him forward, but his bumper was 2-3 inches further ahead than he thought it was. Also notice how he backs out of the gas right after the incident and Kahne is in the lead right when the yellow comes out. If Brian was really trying to wreck everyone to win wouldn't he stay on the gas and maintain the lead? Just sayin.

5:51 198 MPH is beyond the comfort level for NASCAR. Maybe admitting speed scares you is a bad idea in racing.
@calebh926 жыл бұрын
This was also 5 years after Sr's death. I think NASCAR was a bit paranoid at the time. Now why they killed speeds this year, I have no idea why and racing suffered
@jrfan075 жыл бұрын
@@calebh92 when they got rid of the ride height rule for plate tracks this year all the teams went full boar and dropped the cars to the ground, speeds went WAYYYY up but they let it slide..until mcmurray flipped, so they made an adjustment. even with a smaller plate they were still going 208 down the back at dega this fall. too fast to keep the pack together.
