I believe you could sell out an 18, 000 stadium with just a Caitlin Clark shoot around for two hours and even have it televised. Two million people would tune in and watch it. If she leaves and goes to Europe to play basketball, the WNBA would practically fold, and people would be so upset. Right now, she's more popular than any WNBA or NBA player. Like it or not, this is the truth. You can debate all the reasons why, but the fact is she's bringing in the eyeballs and the money.

I have not heard/read one person say that Clark is not bringing eyeballs and money. What many object to (and what is supported by the facts and data) is that she is the ONLY reason that any new people are watching and that numbers are increasing.

Ms. Clark you are a great player along side of great players who held the league down when there was no crowd. Your contribution was right on time, you and all the new talent. Question, Ms. Clark would you still want to be in the WNBA playing the game alone or with a team? It takes 10 players on the court to play a game, if Ms. Clark was the only one on the court there would be no game. So all those people came to see the game. Get back to the game.

Seattle has played in many sold out games throughout the teams history for example the road to Seattle's 2018 Championship (the year the attendance record was set) and them being the league attendance leader in 2022(highest game attendance 18,100) Yall look at the average attendance of one of their worst years in history and think they haven't sold out or had big crowds before. And second they don't diminish CC's skill or accomplishments they know it takes a lot more than that to get over the hump to win such as fumbling the pass of the game winning shot

The hate is hilarious! Thanks to Caitlin Clark, I now know who these two are, and yes, they are both very talented. But it's hard to cheer for bitter players? Be humble. CLARKIES? Are existing fans mocking Catlin Clark super fans? The WNBA needs any "fans." Don't kid yourselves into thinking, "these women have always had big crowds." True or not, they have NEVER had the t.v viewership they had last night. DON'T BITE THE HAND THAT FEEDS! Charted flights, fans tuning in, getting the recognition they've been dying for. If Clark fails, sorry, but the WNBA fails or stays the same as it was before Caitlin Clark, losing money. These two act like they didn't have to prepare for Clark to come to town. Every team she faces has to double, triple team her, and you wouldn't know it from the media hate, but she is still leading the rookie class in almost every category. If you watch the games, you'd see that over half her "turnovers" are because her teammates aren't ready or mishandled the ball. Her 18 and 20-year-old "girls" from Iowa were more adapted to her than the "grown women" she was supposed to be afraid of. The coaching staff isn't exactly doing her any favors. She was on the bench when the Storm took a 6 point lead. WHY WAS SHE ON THE BENCH SIDES? And the Storm still only won by two points. "A playoff like atmosphere in a meaningless game," Nneka says. I wonder why? This reminds me of when I used to get pissed at people for becoming Metallica fans after the Black album, and I'd been listening to them since "Kill em All." We called them posers. The difference is that Metallica didn't do everything they could to drive away fans. More fans equals more money. Maybe if the WNBA paid players on the fan draw instead of being subsidized by the NBA, they would appreciate what Clark is doing more. She is likable. She doesn't push an agenda. She is carrying a HUGE burden expected to save the league. She's not the best player in the WNBA (YET), but she is the top rookie. Stats don't lie. Clark derangement is just fueling the "Clarkies," so keep it up. Last, I had to turn the volume off. The guy was so annoying. The woman gave some props but, at times, equally as annoying. They aren't alone. The commentators in every game are like that. If she gets blocked, "Welcome to the pros rook." Or "that shot or pass might work in college, but it doesn't work in the WNBA." It's so pathetic and hard to listen to.

I know.....she's like Voldimort (sp?). like if they respect her game and say her name, it takes away their mojo. The last 2 teams the Fever played should be ashamed of them playing so close, and worried about Clark and what this team is capable of doing. You build a house from the foundation, and this house is about to go up. I fully expected Indiana to win this one, now they have to play Las Vegas, so another giant task for them. Imma predict they go to the playoffs this year.

When people go the extra mile with the negative commentary on Clark herself, I find it to be obnoxious and misplaced, because the issue is not with her, it’s with a large part of her fan base, who are equally obnoxious. Clark derangement vs the Clark Stan base. Both sides engage in debate using talking points that reveal themselves to be biased casuals. Both sides contribute to the toxicity that has increased viewership. I don’t know how long this lasts, but all of the women involved both benefit and are negatively impacted by the way we collectively consume sports.

I believe that you could sell out an 18 000 seat stadium with Caitlin Clark doing a 2 hour shoot around by herself and have it televised. No one else in the WNBA or NBA could even come close to her appeal to the fans. If Clark goes to Europe to play, the WNBA would practically fold. If she gets hurt and is out a month, watch what would happen. Like it or not, she is a draw all by herself.

Professionsl layers aren't dumb and stupid. Aren't supposed to be concerned about an opposing player because that's totally disrespectful to your teammates and in competitive team sports, you don't waste your time and energy talking e about your opponent and especially if you just defeated that opponent when you're a seasoned veteran pro athlete being asked questions about a rookie who isn't at her same professional level. The rookie is your teammate, talk about it and if not, totally disregard. Your words: "She refuses to even say her name." A very stupid and very ignorant comment to make.

The Storm may not have had CC attendance numbers but they have been a top team in fan attendance, last year top 3. So for Loyd to says the Seattle fans "show up when we need 'em," and "our fans always support us" that has been the case. Saying they have always had fan support doesn't mean that she's saying they've always had 18,000 plus fans show up. She said fan support and meant fan support, not that they've always had record breaking numbers. Some of you Clark fans keep trying to find instances of "hate" but if you hate the "hate" so much then set a good example and stop doing it to every player outside of Clark who doesn't praise her name 24/7.
