For the record. Since then, we've had a number of functional modern rail systems both at the national and subnational levels. My brother don't allow anybody to gas light you , take a trip to those refineries to find out things for yourself, then make your own judgement, ask yourself what point is he trying to make now, when the news is that the Port Harcourt refinery and warri refinery is back on stream, what are his evidence to prove to Nigerians that things are not as it seems, without subsidies, the pump prices are gradually trickling down and this are as a result if the total deregulation of the down stream sector, something he failed to do in his own time, today we are no longer importing fuel, we now have three functioning refineries, something that never happened in his own time, it was in Obasanjo time that the phrase "turnaround maintenance" comes into are political lexican in Nigeria, he's here again spitting trash.

@@solidmanchinedu the price you were buying fuel before was an artificially suppressed price ,we were literally burning money to freeze the economy in place and this man right here is the one that started it all. Any where in the world ,i could give you countless case studies any system in which subsidies are introduced is rife with fraud,inefficiencies and a complete lack of innovation. How many private refineries have been Announced Since subsidy program was removed ,may be not all of them would come to fruition but i can guarantee you there'll be more refineries opened thats how you get prices down, Competition not subsidies thats just robbing peter to pay paul. Please be more enlightened about policy and developmental issues so politicians like this one can stop lying to you

How many liters are they selling now from those refinery? Phc they on blending plant for 1 day load 1 truck for Camera then no more action till date. Why is Nigerian govt so meshed in lies and propaganda, no need for hide and seek, if it's working let the market reflect it. I lived in warri for most of my life, if that refinery is working alot of activities would improve even the dead would know production is going on. The roads would have more trucks Coming from the refinery road to join express to Bayelsa. Benin, Phc to access different states. Just get to that point before the drama and film Shows.

The refineries both Portharcourt and Warri are not working, they are just farm tanks where they stock fuels bought from Dangote refineries in Lagos that is why fuel is cheaper in Lagos than port-harcourt, when the cost of transporting from Lagos to port-harcourt is added. Nigerians leaders need to speak out more and start pointing fingers to elements of sabotage impeding progress so that Nigerians can be informed. Nigeria is a very complicated country and aside internal forces, there are also external forces the likes of USA, UK France and the rest, funding corruption in Nigeria. It’s not in their best interest for Nigeria to be better.
@olawaleoladele6042 күн бұрын
The father of the subsidy program himself wondering why actually competent business people not oligarchs (and dangote is who I'm referring too,I'm glad NNPC rejected his offer,he may have extended his monopoly to such a vital sector much sooner at least now there'sa fighting chance to block it if capital is mobilized quickly enough) were refusing to run refineries and operate in a system rife with fraud because of his useless subsidy program. Thats rich lol
@ikecosmas83982 күн бұрын

In my own case I congratulate dangote for not buying those refineries. People like you would have been shouting monopoly. Obviously you prefer importers monopoly for more than 20 years than having functional refineries. Well like the first response here said he will ultimately gain that advantage if the refineries are left with nnpc to manage. Tinubu should begin the process of privatizing the refineries if he wants any good thing to happen
