Goatbe Bryant either Justin is going to join another 5 star LB in Noah Sewell pretty soon, you’re right USC doesn’t have a coach that’s why they’re ranked no.70 in recruiting, with Tulane and Temple and all them powerhouses while Oregon is top 15. USC used to recruit itself because it was a blue blood program with rich history but talking with some highschool players across Cali and PNW they think USC is a joke. Lack of discipline, they play with little emotion or intensity at times and they lose to teams they should beat with all the talent they have. I’ve heard countless stories of the circus at USC. At halftime of the Oregon game coach Helton got punched in his lip. That’s dysnfunction. Let’s not also talk about how they did Jack Sears. That’s a different story. But you’re right if Urban heads to USC then USC will be relevant again. Until that happens they aren’t treating nobody and Oregon isn’t intimidated one bit recruiting wise. Also it’s not a slam dunk that Urban heads to SC, Folt is there to clean up the image. And while not his fault the chase young situation just adds a little more fire to Urbans resume. Urbans a hell of a coach but me pump the brakes until he’s actually hired. Until then enjoy being behind Oregon state in recruiting

Goatbe Bryant I agree on the last part it’s kind of a home away from home. But the uniform thing is a myth I mean they only have like 4 uniform combos and don’t do anything crazy besides a Jordan combo a year ago and yet Recruits are still coming. And I don’t agree with the Nike connection it’s basically Oregon has a bunch of great recruiters on the staff. Mario is a excellent recruiter, Donte Williams whom I’ve talked to is probably a top 5 recruiter in the nation, Keith Heyward is a fantastic recruiter. These guys recruit like crazy that’s why Biggins and Huffman said Oregon is by FAR the hardest working recruiting team in the west coast. That Nike connection helps a little but not much. Remember Oregon has had the Nike connection and even better uniforms when they had Chip Kelly and went to National championship games and they never had a top 10 class. While USC mopped up the floor with a mediocre team. Albeit hit by unfair Schoalrship reductions. It really comes down to relationships and how comfortable and happy you feel with the staff and players and atmosphere. Clearly Oregon is doing right by employing a staff that works hard in recruiting and takes care of the student athlete and that wins the parents over as well. It’s not all about Uniforms and Nike
