Japanese gardens are very small and trees cannot be grown in their natural state, so they need to be pruned to reduce their vigor.

@@k-tk I completely support that. However, I am quite amazed by the size and number of trees planted in such circumstances. At the same time, there are no bonsai to be seen anywhere, which are considered the very essence of Japanese tree art in our country. Strange, isn't it?

I have heard that bonsai is popular abroad, but not in Germany. I am good at pruning garden trees but not so good at bonsai.
